2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Here is a build I made, it is a 2021, I sent the sheet to 3 local dealers and requested a price for the same truck in a 2022. It shows $85,500 MSRP, I expected roughly a $2,000 increase on the new model. One dealer has come back with $87,000 and added $3,000 to it. They also want a $2,000 non-refundable deposit….crazy. What are you all paying?

Then I get another $10,000 less….

I ordered a 2500 MC Laramie 6.7L night edition with level b, tow tech, 12” Uconnect 5, and ram boxes through Mark Dodge. Paying just over $70k, not including tax

Ram Chat confirmed today that I am now in D1 status but was not able to provide an estimated ship date. Based on other comments, I'd guess mid October for a ship date.

From ship date to DLR (Dennis Dillon) in Idaho what time frame are you all thinking?
Mine was already in transit to Dennis Dillon when I bought it at the end of April. I picked it up about 23 days later... at least 2 weeks of that it sat in a lot in UT waiting on a truck to bring it to Idaho.

2021? I hope mine won't have to wait that long!

Those of us who ordered from Mark Dodge and intend to have it shipped to us probably will have a wait. They will bid the job out for transport but think about how many they will be shipping combined with the shortage of haulers right now.

Yes, it was a '21. I was told 2 things by the dealership:

1. "Sold" orders get priority on being put on trucks and shipped to dealers. Not sure if I believe it.
2. As with everything, there is a shortage of trucks to put them on. Haven't heard if things have gotten any better.

Will check in with my dealer next week. Looks like my Power Wagon made it to a D1 status. First time I didn't get a canned response!
How is you’re power wagon spec’d?
Just trying to compare to see IF they are batch building I’d hope mine would be in with someone else’s too. Mines a level 2, 8.4w/nav Harman Kardon, off-road package, no sunroof, no blind spot, no adaptive cruise, no ram boxes

Also talked to “Emily” today. Was told my truck is in the stage prior to being released by the plant. When I told her i was told it was shipped to storage a month an a half ago ish and asked why it would be there so long. I was told it’s waiting on a ship date to be assigned. Don’t get why it would take that long to assign a ship date when others have been shipped or have dates built after mine. Just my little 2cent rant. Trying to impatiently be patient. Haha fun stuff. Gotta love it.
That Emily sure gets around...

Well, today I've had two dealers tell me that the Mark Dodge price I was quoted is too good to be true. Neither of them were willing to lower their price from MSRP. Not even a dollar. I'm 99% sure I'll be placing my order with Sandi.

Can anyone with prior experience confirm that their price is legit and isn't too good to be true?

Yes. Search the 2021 forum for Aaron or Mark Dodge. There have been many. There was actually a cheaper price prior to the 2022…about 14% off from Bud Clary in WA.

Heard a rumor today they are solely working on sold orders now……@brv10 know anything ?
Have not heard that, still waiting for my guy here to tell me what Saltillo said, the holiday might have slowed that down a bit.

We’ve been through this before. Many people ordered 21s there (as well as 1500s on the 5th gen forums). Local dealers claimed the same then.
They are legit

One of them got kind of crappy with me. I even offered to give him $2000 more than the Mark Dodge price. He just kept saying "that would be a great deal if it were true" and ended it with saying best of luck. It is what it is I suppose. I'd love to support a local business, not enough to pay nearly $8000 more though.

It is tough for smaller local dealerships to match a bulk dealer’s prices. They have much less inventory to move so in their eyes anyone doing those deals would go out of business. But last I heard Mark Dodge was averaging 300 internet sales a month (and that’s just trucks).

Many of us have heard the same from our local dealers. It's just a ploy to get you to buy from them and pay the full boat price. Some of them try to figure out how Mark Dodge's pricing works and it boggles their minds. I'm not even sure how they do it. Maybe it's some sort of incentive they get from FCA due to being a high volume dealer. Either way, thank them for their time and move on.
