I know that we as the buyer get our window stickers once the trucks are built, but I wonder if it is the same for dealers. I am pretty sure that my dealer had window stickers for their "coming soon" listings on their site before the August startup build date. I hope that RAM is doing ours before dealer stock! I cant imagine that one dealer already has 90 built and awaiting shipment (at least I hope they dont!).

That's what their website shows. Unless some of those are sold pre-orders. But that' still a lot of trucks...

That is weird. There must be some option that is keep them from selecting that color. Even he 2021 builder requires certain items, but nothing special.

There's no way they'd build all customer orders before any dealer lot orders. That could potentially leave dealers with no stock for quite some time. I'm sure it's a mix of special orders and dealer orders. You gotta know... MOST vehicles are sold off the lot. If there's nothing to sell, the customer goes elsewhere most times. There's just no way they'd leave lot orders hanging while they do nothing but customer orders.
Right. Most of us are just being facetious, but that's still a bit for one dealer.
If you were ordering a night edition you could not get it with max steel unless you ordered a limited. Odd about sport package as that is what I settled for to get Max Steel

I believe if you want the night edition package you have to order a Limited regardless of color. This was one of the recent changes implemented on the 22 models.
True, I was talking about back in June when I ordered. Just trying to think of why that color would be greyed out when ordering for someone

I have a serious question that Im not sure anyone can answer.
Those similar to my situation where we ordered a while back, such as June 15th.
We arent seeing much if any movement whatsoever. Mine has went D to D1 back to D and not back to D1.
Does anyone think that there is a possibility that we will have our orders by Thanksgiving, Christmas, 2022, etc?
Im not sure what Im going to do if I dont have mine by deer season and it would be a miracle to have it by then at this point.
My dealer did make the comment the other day, "maybe we can get it to you for a Christmas present"

I have the same serious question - I'm trying to figure out other "options" if the truck doesn't come as we have trips planned for both holiday time periods...
I'd be happy to hear anyone's comments on that as well. What is realistic? If we have no movement and we see folks getting Oct build dates now does that mean "at best" we might see Nov/Dec?
Ordered 6/8 and haven’t moved from D status. It will come in when it comes in. Hopefully sooner then later but I’m sure it will be worth the wait.
Hell im even farther back and supposedly im back on D1 status

Mine went back to D1 status earlier this week.
No one can answer those questions, not even the Production manager or scheduling guru at Ram. They're making them the fastest they can. There are real global supply issues. Until it gets on a train headed your way, there could always be undeterminable delays. It could be Thanksgiving or Christmas, but could also be longer. There is absolutely no way to know. If you need a truck sooner, there are other options. Whether or not they're viable depends on how much you're willing to pay. Kind of like this supply crisis... They could get parts faster probably, it'd just cost a whole lot more (making it no longer viable, so they don't do it because it's a money-making business and if they aren't making money, they don't do it)

My thinking also, batch building for both, but the customer ordered trucks should get the magic chips, not dealer stock, and then the whole msrp thing. Dealers need stuff to sell too.
