2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

More shutdowns are inevitable. Which is the main cause for my anger every time a similar or even more optioned truck ordered LONG after mine gets built or D1. Just above this an more optioned MC ordered 2 months after me is going D1.
So all of us who ordered early will get the shaft when they run out of chips after building all the recent orders.

I feel your pain! I had one ordered a few days after mine, get built. Same configuration just diff engines!

I know we have a lot of vets, me included, in this forum so I have to ask this question. When you hear someone say "my salesman or dealer told me..." I automatically hear in my head "My Recruiter told me......"
Sometimes I don't even know why we bother with them. But we have to since they are part of the line of comms. I should know better myself, I was a car salesman/manager for several years. I think after I left that "line of work" I may have only spoke or dealt with two salesmen directly concerning the 10-15 plus vehicles I purchased since then. And shortly after dealing with them, I regained consciousness and realized why I don't like to deal with them.

My dealer just called to tell me my fully loaded 2500 Limited has a tentative ship date of 10/7!! Ordered 6/22. Finally some good news!

Quick question I was looking at my build sheet and it says build priority: 99 but it seems the ones everyone else is posting say 01

Mine said 99 to. I think they all do

They all do when it's pending order, configuration preview, I believe. Then it will be 01 when it becomes a POC. At least that's how mine went.

Amen to that. I went into one dearship to look at their truck with an offer in hand. They salesman and manager tried to "sell me" when I told them I was going to buy a truck, either from them or someone else. After about 90 minutes and an insulting offer I walked out and said I told you. He called 1 day later and said there really was not much room in my trade to go higher and this was a lie, I had just made a deal on my truck and got a new one. He called back 2 days later saying they had an offer for me that I would not be able to pass up. At this point I have already purchased a truck and said I will be in after work. I drove up in the new truck but parked hidden to see the new amazing deal. Well, it sucked and I said hold on. Went and pulled my truck around and said here is what I got for my trade and what they sold it to me for. Look on their face was priceless.

I used the same dealership this time and had one converstaion on the phone for 5 minuters or so as to the options. Had a deal done and he sent me the VON within an few hours. 2 days later, he sent me the VIN and siad they were going to throw in window tinting like last time for free. Said he would update me when it is built and said he would hae a driver deliever my truck anywhere I wanted (I am on the road a lot for work) free as well. Their only stipulation was I waited 90 days before I pay it off.

Wife told me last night that he sent me a thank you card and 4 RAM hats out of the blue. This was a thank you for being a returing customer and sending a couple referrals to him.

Just a heads up. A lot of dealers are posting ordered-but-not-built trucks on their websites and cars.com is picking it up. I checked a few laramies near me and their build sheets aren't even populating.
I checked Kernersville Ram in North Carolina and they have around 15 3500 Rams in transit with window stickers.

Very nice. That's a good salesman with some good follow-up. Good to see!
