Thanks for everyone's service. Started in USAF as a B1B WSO - left uniformed service, been a GS for the past 17 years; it's a good ride.
GS for 6 years (21 years active), could not get the service to the line out of my head. You can tell a huge difference in those around us who where prior service, that's for sure.

What made you go with BDS instead of Carli or Thuren?
BDS is equivalent to Carli in quality but less expensive. If you don't have factory rear air then BDS is the way to go. For trucks with air Carli is pretty much the only game in town.

I had BDS on my 1500 and prior JK and it was good stuff. Since my new 3500 is going to have air I'm going to be forced to go with Carli but the reviews make it seem like a solid choice. I can't comment on Thuren since they don't make kit for air trucks.

i am working on a deal with MD for 22 BH 2500......apparantly tech pkg no longer offered, so am revising it......but yeah its around 11% off MSRP and be nice if that $1695 delivery fee could get it delivered to my state at least ( as its same no matter where you buy) but am thinking i will be making a trip to Louisiana, lol

Renae @ MD has been very prompt and given me answers as quickly as i can send them, huge props for customer service there......will send my last revision and get this built

what do you suppose lead times are for 22s three quarter tons?

Ooof. You gotta read the last 301 pages. JK. But seriously it's a lottery it seems. Guys ordering in the past month or so are getting builds sooner than guys who ordered 6 months ago. No rhyme or reason to what trim level or when you ordered it seems...

Might be a long shot but we have all been trying to figure out what the build order is based on what everybody has in common. Could it be color? Maybe they are building whatever you ordered no matter the package say in batches of white or delmonico red etc???

I believe it’s the chip level for the most part. The lower opted trucks use fewer chips of which don’t seem to be in short supply. The higher opted trucks seem to be in a lottery as there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to the build orders!!

probably just depends on whats readily available and whats not at the factory.....i did read some of this thread on lead times and never ordered b4 ......guess thats the gamble with getting exact truck you want.......i had a 2020 Silverado 2500 but it was 2wd and went back to GMC 1500 4x4...big mistake ( 1500 vs 2500)even though i made money on the sale. (covid).....i loved the 2500 truck though a bit bland inside if it was 4wd i would have kept it and should have regardless.....this will be my first RAM and really just find it hard to stay in a 1500 when a 2500 is so much more capable (especially for work) and still feels like a truck and not a car.....will miss the multi pro tailgate but the pros outweigh cons

I hear all the guys on multiple forums waiting and trying to figure out when their truck will arrive, sounds agonizing but ill give it a whirl.....order and forget about it when it shows up so be it......just tired of getting trucks that have this but not that, wish i woulda got this and blah blah blah...........

That's sorta what the general consensus has been but yet we're seeing people getting build sheets all the way from bare bones models to loaded with sun roof???

So my wife just called and said "after seeing that truck today try to pull that tractor, maybe you should get the 3500 over the 2500"......okay, that never happens. So what would you guys guess the delay would be on changing my order from a loaded 2500 to a 3500? I think I saw that someone else did this already.
How biga tractor was it? My 1500 pulled my tractor easily. Got crap mileage (at most 9mpg) but could still accelerate as fast as I wanted and drove 90+mph on the highways. That's the reason I got the 6.4. I could pull anything with my 5.7 so I wouldn't have any problems pulling anything with the 6.4. Just couldn't justify spending an extra 10k for a diesel since I don't haul stuff very often (probably average 150 miles a month towing). However, had I known that the diesels were getting built first I would have gone ahead and gotten the diesel lol. Sold my truck a couple months ago due to my dealer telling me it would be 6-12 weeks, so now all I own is my harley. Bout to be some cold rides shortly lol.

You will probably have to go to the back of the line if you ordered a while ago...
Actually it seems like those who just recently ordered, already have build dates while those who ordered in May/June still have no movement. My initial order was June 26 for a longhorn. Canceled that one 2 weeks ago and Ordered my Limited. I am.willing to bet I get a build date within the next couple weeks lol.

Prior E here as well. Plan on going gs after, someone had to pay for this truck lol

A little off topic but just wanted to let you know that the bureau of prisons is hiring. Pay is really good with specialized departments like maintenance and food service making quite a bit more. I work in one of these departments and I make over 100k every year. Same goes for any other military fellas. I would send a private message but haven't figured out how to do that on this forum..

Thank you all for your service guys! There sure is a lot of trucks waiting for or on rail cars waiting to start the journey, thats a good sign! starting to see a mix of VIN numbers also, early and late, c'mon 10/4!
