Heated Side Mirrors

Still liked these better than the current set.
I agree when they were in normal position. The convex corner worked great actually. They basically worked in any mode.
In tow mode, the new ones work better though. Just more surface to look around. But they s**k in normal mode.

I watched the 5th Gen install video and I don't recall any mention of this not working with the power convex mirrors...I'll send them an email for confirmation.

@Mike67 do you have the power convex mirrors?
Nope, no powered convex. That's probably the "catch" on these.

Yes, I emailed them and they stated no power convex... they may consider if there interest... so, you may want to email them.

Guys, see post #33.
They are planning to make them. They will email those that requested when they are ready.

Good to hear... that's different than what they told me when I emailed them and posted the reply (#25)

Looks like they are available for the Powered Convex now! $79.95 for the powered and $69.95 for the non powered.

Wow... looks like they were more than just planning to make them... they were probably already in production.
Ordered a set.

Thanks @Webracin

Anyone here installed a set on their powered mirrors? Any troubles installing them?
Got mines but received them after freezing season so I'll wait until next fall. Let's say the incentive is not there lol. Can't even test them!

I just did mine. Forgot to post here.

No trouble really. the wires are a tad on the short side but I got everything to fit. The shrink tubing they supplied for the jumper wire connection wasn't large enough to fit over the factory wires but I have all that stuff here.

I didn't listen to others and tried to take the first (convex) one off using a trim tool instead of just pulling with my fingers and cracked the old glass.

Hardest part was pushing the large mirror back into place without fear of breaking it. The Boost mirrors fit perfectly and look identical to the OEM. After installing I noticed the large mirrors seem to be tinted and the convex are not, but the OEM look that way too just holding them up.

It was too warm to fully test the day I did it, but I put a meter on to ensure they were getting the voltage, and cooled them down with a gel pack and then used a laser thermometer to measure the back side and they did get warmer.

So I’m a bit salty right now, I ordered these heated convex spotter mirrors for my 19 with power convex. Followed their video instructions to pull the mirrors off. Success...go to stick new mirrors on, no success. Realize the back of the mirrors look pretty different, and realize they just have sent me manual adjust mirrors which don’t fit.
And then! I realize the mirrors have little ball sockets that connect to motors in the mirror housing, and one of the ball joints on the motor broke when removing the mirror. Their video didn’t make any note of how the power adjust mirrors should be removed differently to avoid damaging these pieces.

I have emailed boost and hopefully they email me back ASAP.

Does anyone know if I can buy the spotter mirror adjusters separately, if so what is the part number? I’m hoping I don’t need a whole new mirror assembly, but I can’t find a Mopar part number or diagram for the mirror internals. FWIW: My mirrors are black, power folding, power convex, blind spot, surround view camera, and reverse spotter lights.

Ouch. Looks like the correct mirrors to me, same as I installed. That inner part isn't supposed to come off the mirror housing.

This is what the back of my factory powered spotter looks like. They sent you the right mirror. You just took off an extra piece of the power unit when you pulled off the mirror.

F.
How am I supposed to remove the mirror without that happening? I followed their directions exactly

Also anyone able to figure out what part number I need to replace that Spotter mirror motor Assm? I can’t find it in the Mopar website, they have whole mirrors, glass, cameras, led lights, cover, but I can’t find any diagrams for the mirror adjustment guts.

You’re pretty much screwed, especially since the ball socket broke off. They don’t sell the motor parts separately.
For future reference, these are the four tabs that need to be released-
