2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Biggest benefit is with a chrome front bumper you don’t have to worry about rock chips. If you are getting a painted front bumper, put the clear wrap on to protect it.
Yeah that is a great thing and the one thing I debated when opting for the painted bumpers. Also, chrome bumpers help when you misjudge and run into things. Hoping all the cameras eliminate that. My 06 has these wounds.

Good idea on wrapping the bumpers at a minimum.

Getting last build confirmation from Sandi tomorrow and then getting my order in. FINALLY!

This is my year to wait.... I only hope the truck arrives faster than the approval on my Suppressor. You think Ram is slow, try the BATF, I got this! BATF has had my money for 177 days, Ram has had my deposit for 7 days.... :)
Definitely don’t think about things in NFA jail. I’m over a year on a few items. They sure are quick to cash your check though….

yea completely agree lol. Put in for my last one in November and didn’t get my approval back until July.

…. Am I the only one in this thread that likes chrome over black?

Nope! I was dead set on ordering white with the night edition. Last year I ordered a 21 Tradesman with the chrome package for a fleet vehicle, but I thought the night edition with white looked awesome for my personal truck. I even searched for a dealer that had a white 21 night edition so I could see it in person before ordering. I am so glad I did, it was parked next to a Laramie with an all chrome front and I fell in love with it! I’m anxiously waiting for my road trip from Mark Dodge back to Southern California in it.

Lol mine was 13 months
My plan was to have the suppressor and the new truck by Thanksgiving, I have a plan to shoot loud and spend a lot of gas money to get to my hunting land with my 5.7 Hemi (or should I say the dealer's 5.7 Hemi). Towing about 8,000 lbs so I expect some 7 mpg stretches.

My dealer said my 2500 Tradesman is on the 2nd rail, which they said means that it was transferred from the first train to the second?
It’s coming to RedWing, Mn (via Inver Grove Rail Yard, I think).

They gave me the estimate that it may be ready to pick up in late Sept. Does that sound right?

Also…. Has anyone else gotten their Tradesman yet?

Just because you have a higher VIN doesn't mean your truck will be built after everyone else's on here with a lower VIN. Very hard to explain. Look at the crowd source tracker...generally the date ordered goes in sequence with the VIN....but not always....there are some with higher VIN numbers with earlier dates ordered. I think what it really comes down to is what you ordered and if those parts to complete that order are available. If you have two exact same trucks with one ordered on the 1st and the second ordered on the 15th the one ordered on the 1st should be built first and usually is. There are trucks built with higher VINS than mine because the options they ordered were all low tech and Ram was able to source all the parts.

@aejumper ordered on July 8 VIN 119624 and his truck is built. Mine was ordered on July 1st VIN NG118947. These VINs are close some are not so close.

When I ordered the my 11,and 16 the build by the package tradesmen, Bighorn, etc. if you order one as they start a production line it will be produced then . They started this year with tradesmen and went to Bighorn than stopped do to parts available because of ports over sea shut down, sea containers stuck on ships waiting to get off loaded, railroad plugged with containers with no trucks to off loaded them to. The transportation of parts will take a year if not longer to straighten out .

What is the first line supposed to say???

I think what he meant to say is that those of us that have lots of tech packages ordered in our trucks will have a bit of a wait. Tradesman's are so easy, even a caveman can do it. (no offense Tradesman people!)

I had a bet with my dealer last month that my highly optioned Laramie would be delivered by the end of September. $1000 on the line. Wonder how I’m going to spend my winnings!!!
