2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Not quite sure where you got the June 14 date. Mine was submitted to RAM on 05/07 and accepted on 05/10. You can see a number of May orders on the tracking spreadsheet.
Ram officially stated that is when they were going to begin accepting orders on the 22 model year. It was all over these forums shortly after they stopped taking orders for the 21s with documented press releases. I was preparing to order a 21 when they stopped taking those orders and followed it along until 22 orders officially opened.

Lol June 14 was when Ram officially accepted 2022 orders so anything prior to that (May), you might as well consider yourself a June 14 order date. Anything prior to that date was just dealers taking pre-orders. Production didn’t start until 8/9… so honestly whatever timeframe your dealers gave you (number of weeks), start counting from there. I got my last update from Sandi 4 weeks ago (had an 8/11 supposed ship date) but simply from following here I can be certain my lightly optioned laramie was bumped back down to D status. Once a day I check to see if my build sheet populates, until that happens or I see a bunch of laramies start getting built on here I will not be bothering Sandi for non existent updates. If you can’t stand the wait, simply go pay a dealer’s market adjusted price for something on lot.

Can’t wait for everyone to get their trucks to then blowup the forums with outrage over whatever common issues the 2022s have (like the 2021 def pumps all going out)

Brent, basically the same point I was trying to convey earlier and got flamed for it. I believe you are also correct about the 6/14 being the official order date as I recall Sandi saying early June that FCA wouldn't release official pricing until mid month. She gave me an initial price based on '21's on 6/8 when she took my order, then requoted with the then current '22 pricing. It had gone up minimally.

I’m sure I’ll catch some hate too but the constant crying is so infuriating. I love the posts when people are stoked about their soon to be trucks but all these pists complaining and demanding are just ridiculous. We are all in the same boat, and although the online trackers some other manufacturers are awesome, Ram doesn’t do that… it is what it is. I chose the manufacturer based on the end product I felt was superior, not how well they would hold my hand during the wait. Everyone is short staffed and those who are working are all overworked and doing their best. This goes from staffing the manufacturing plant to the dealers. Imagine poor Sandi right now who has been nothing short of amazing for all of us who have ordered through her… how many emails do you think she has to respond to daily when there is nothing to report. Especially since she has probably taken over 1000 orders at this point.

Ordered my truck 6-25 3500 SRW Laramie with basically every option except for a sun roof and the 12" unconnect. Finally got my Vin today. Can you add my Vin to the list and run a track on it. The dealer has been very lazy. Got a great price and a lock on my trade. Not looking forward to writing g the big check. But would kind of like a status report. If DirtySanchez can add this Vin 3C63R3EL0NG116798 to the list and run a track on it, id really appreciate it
I also ordered on 6-25-21 and received my VIN the same day. 3C63R3EJ3NG116809.
Laramie 3500 SRW. Gasser, semi loaded. No sun roof.
My dealer sends me updates via text message every Monday. Even if nothing has changed. Usually doesn't.
Said I was "still" in D1 with no ship date.
I have not reached out to Ram Chat or my dealer once. Who needs the aggravation??
If I don't get it this year, I won't have to pay Missouri personel property tax for a year. (Win???)
And, I have the luxury of a company take home E-350, that can be used for light personnel use. (Service electrician)
I do enjoy reading the post.
Regards to all.

Personally, I'm getting bored listening to the back and forth competition for 'whose ancient order is the oldest' to see who should be the most indignant. Why doesn't FCA just "clear out the cobwebs' of May and June orders - are they still '21s? - are they now '22s?? Who cares?

We can't really get a feel for what normalized production will look like until they dig out of the NG100xxx VIN #s - that are distorting what will actually be produced once they can stop scratching around the production line looking for a '21 Bighorn grille.

FYI. @OfficerDirtySanchez isnt able to run a track on our orders. He is just creating the spreadsheet to compile the group information that we are able to provide him. I wish he had a special magic 8 ball though!
Wait really? So the only info that goes into that spread sheet comes from us? I have no idea what status my truck is, thats why I check that spreadsheet 9 times a day for updates. Wtf lol

Gosh I hope not. If so I have a long road ahead. 150214 is the end of my VIN.
Just because you have a higher VIN doesn't mean your truck will be built after everyone else's on here with a lower VIN. Very hard to explain. Look at the crowd source tracker...generally the date ordered goes in sequence with the VIN....but not always....there are some with higher VIN numbers with earlier dates ordered. I think what it really comes down to is what you ordered and if those parts to complete that order are available. If you have two exact same trucks with one ordered on the 1st and the second ordered on the 15th the one ordered on the 1st should be built first and usually is. There are trucks built with higher VINS than mine because the options they ordered were all low tech and Ram was able to source all the parts.

@aejumper ordered on July 8 VIN 119624 and his truck is built. Mine was ordered on July 1st VIN NG118947. These VINs are close some are not so close.

Since I don’t have any inside sources all I can do it check for equipment listings and window stickers. I run a script a few times a day to check across all vins. No new ones yesterday or so far today.

I also look for any updates posted throughout the forum and update the sheet accordingly. But this is manual.

…. Am I the only one in this thread that likes chrome over black?
I would prefer the chrome on black. Though I like some chrome - maybe not as much as the chrome package; but I also don't like the all blackout night look on a black truck. I'm going with Olive green, but I decided on the body colored bumpers so I could have a little chrome on the grill and mirrors; but then I'll put black steps and dark window tint. Not overdone with chrome or overdone with blackout hopefully a nice balance. That said, I have a different accent preference for each base color.

I don't mind some chrome. I'm ordering the body colored bumpers. I would order the Sport pkg to get even a little less chrome but since it adds the black headliner, that's a quick NO for me. My current 06 has chrome and it looks fine with the bright silver.

I do plan on doing something on the chrome mirrors though. Those, for me, are too much chrome.

that would have looked good with olive painted side steps

I like chrome. I like both actually but everyone does black nowadays. Black accents and wheels you just look like everyone else. I am doing chrome this go around because where I live you seldom see chrome. There is a limit to chrome though before it starts looking gaudy.

Ford’s got their stuff together. Maybe they can build us a Ram build status page?
