2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

It
Is it normal for ram care (the call in version) to not be able to find your order? I just called and they couldn't find it so the "escalated" my call and will receive a call back tomorrow.
who you talk to. Like any job if they are new they don’t know the tricks of jobs to finding out information. Took two calls today and the second lady knew the trick and told me it was in D1 with a eta. Of ship date of 9/17.

Different plant, not related at all,I believe those are actually Fiats.
They show pictures and say Ram 700. They are trucks but they arent full size. They are small like Ford makes the Ranger. That size.

Because that always works. You guys are like a bunch of overgrown, whiny children! Consider the times we are in, all of the $hit going on in the world, all of the shortages of parts, people, labor and so on not to mention the whole covid issue that just further compounds the issues I've mention and be happy that you are able to even order a brand new truck and pay for it when it shows up. I was quoted 14-16wks when I ordered my truck and fully expected it to take the full 16wks, it was part of the process and explained to me when I placed the order. I don't get the clowns on here that post several times a day about chatting with Ram chat every couple hours for updates or the people that constantly reach out to their sales people and wonder why they never hear anything back, they are tired of hearing your same lame a$$ "where is my truck, when will it be built, why can't I change my option" and every other bull$hit questions you people pester them with. No one cares that you're on the brink of canceling you order, no one cares that you're going to "raise hell" with your dealer, it just makes you look like an a$$ to everyone reading your posts (and I hate to single you out as this isn't directed to just you, it is to the whole group of whiny babies in here). Just settle down, wait for your quoted time frame to show and then you have a right to complain after you've waited the said time. You are doing the dealer a favor and putting more $'s in their pocket if you cancel your order, they don't care, it's one less cry baby to deal with and they get to make more money off of someone that is willing to walk in, pick a truck and happily pay MSRP to get it today.
In all honesty though the more people that reach out to RAMCHAT and take up their resources there, the more likely RAM will pull their heads out of their asses and just provide a interface for people to see the actual status of their orders... you know like you can get with pretty much anything else you buy these days. It's unreal that people can put in a order for something a quarter the cost of most homes in America and have no way of knowing what the hell is happening with it. Granted, if you ordered your truck in August you might as well know that nothing is changed but some of these guys ordered in May and know nothing.

Just got done with Ram Chat. I was told my Laramie is still waiting for parts. Vehicle was shipping 8/14/21. Why does Ram let you order your vehicle when they don't have the parts? We should be able, to get our deposit back if we wanted it, if this keeps on happen. This just suck big donkey balls.

I bet I’ll get the same thing . I heard that ram boxes are hard to get from manufacture… mine is supposedly shipping next week

Ordered my truck 6-25 3500 SRW Laramie with basically every option except for a sun roof and the 12" unconnect. Finally got my Vin today. Can you add my Vin to the list and run a track on it. The dealer has been very lazy. Got a great price and a lock on my trade. Not looking forward to writing g the big check. But would kind of like a status report. If DirtySanchez can add this Vin 3C63R3EL0NG116798 to the list and run a track on it, id really appreciate it

FYI. @OfficerDirtySanchez isnt able to run a track on our orders. He is just creating the spreadsheet to compile the group information that we are able to provide him. I wish he had a special magic 8 ball though!

Ok no big deal. I'm not going to push it with the dealer. I called him 2 weeks ago and he said he didn't even have a Vin at that point but the order had been excepted. At this rate it will probably be a really expensive Christmas present

Because when you order your truck, they source the parts for and assemble when it’s time. They don’t have some magical machine that can produce whatever you need. They’re reliant on suppliers.

Dealerships get punished if a customer backs out I believe, which is why most require a deposit. You know they won’t have any problems selling the truck these days…but my guess is it is to pad their pocket if you back out and Ram gets mad.
There are actual punishments against dealers now for ordering sold trucks for their lot. They lose allocation. If a customer cancels a order they have to clear it through FCA to sell it on the lot. This is according to the owner of a local dealer.

Lol June 14 was when Ram officially accepted 2022 orders so anything prior to that (May), you might as well consider yourself a June 14 order date. Anything prior to that date was just dealers taking pre-orders. Production didn’t start until 8/9… so honestly whatever timeframe your dealers gave you (number of weeks), start counting from there. I got my last update from Sandi 4 weeks ago (had an 8/11 supposed ship date) but simply from following here I can be certain my lightly optioned laramie was bumped back down to D status. Once a day I check to see if my build sheet populates, until that happens or I see a bunch of laramies start getting built on here I will not be bothering Sandi for non existent updates. If you can’t stand the wait, simply go pay a dealer’s market adjusted price for something on lot.

Can’t wait for everyone to get their trucks to then blowup the forums with outrage over whatever common issues the 2022s have (like the 2021 def pumps all going out)

Not quite sure where you got the June 14 date. Mine was submitted to RAM on 05/07 and accepted on 05/10. You can see a number of May orders on the tracking spreadsheet.
