What did you do TO your RAM today?

Did an oil and Fuel filter change on the truck. The rear fuel filter is a pain without a perfectly straight drain hose. Took 1.5hrs and I still have a fuel mess to finish cleaning up in the garage. Next time fuel filters will be done on my gravel turn around so I don't have to deal with the clean up...

Last week I ordered the tailgate damper from my local dealership. Was told it would be delivered in 2 days. It's been over a week and no update from the dealership. Has anyone else had this issue with purchasing parts through Mopar or the dealership?

Some people are experiencing a global pandemic.

I know, not many people have heard of it, it’s relatively new.

But, it’s f***ing up everything.

(;

Of course all of us have experienced delays getting parts.

You have to realize some people live in fantasy land!

I've heard of it but not seen it. I know they talk about it in the news if you watch it, luckily I don't have time to watch television.

Since this started about 18 months ago 2 of my friends got a cold. They said it was tough 3 days sleeping and exhausted. It's looked like b.s. to me from where I'm at.

I think it's the city folk who are having a time with this.

True, but sometimes it is actually the dealer, I had to order the tailgate cap for my truck because of the wonderful repair they did on it before delivery…. When I ordered it they said it was on back order and would be 2 weeks, no problem…. 2 months later after hearing nothing from them I decided to give them a call to ask about it, of coarse they said “it will be here tomorrow”, and it was, come to find out it never got ordered in the first place…

ran my ARB 50 fridge harness to the bed of the truck..
did you run a 3rd battery, how did you run your harness? I'm going from a Raptor where i built a 3rd battery with an add afuse and isolator, etc. how is your fridge harness setup? TIA

I just ran the arb harness direct off the battery and ran the harness straight down from the battery and fished it through the frame to the back and came out above the driver's front stake pocket. and ran it up through the hole where the tie down at the bottom of the bed is. Worked slick as wires are protected and out of the way. I put a grommet and conduit where the harness came in contact with anything. It is fused right at the battery regardless. I also use a Jackery 1000 which keeps my arb going for 4 days between charges in 90+ temps. I figure I will plug the fridge to the arb connector while driving then when I get to a camp site use the jackery. light and easy. Very few times i would be camped in one spot for more than 4 days and the jackery charges really fast from the trucks accessory port if I am not at a place to get 120V. 1st photo shows where I fed the harness into the frame hole beneath the battery. the second is where it came out just below the front stand pocket. almost like they designed to work that way.

Sounds great for the environment! Ever heard of a drain pan?? And FWIW, the gravel will be permanently stained...
I have and do use a drain pan and will continue to use a drain pan. I'm not dumping the filter housing on the ground...but when draining the housing INTO my pan, I get lots of spatter everywhere, I've put rags in pan and still get the spatter. The little bit of spatter on the gravel driveway is not going to hurt anything and then I don't have a garage that smells like diesel for an extended time. Remember all those the dirty diesel covered rags currently end in a landfill...

Do people look at you funny when you tell them you don't watch TV? I always get a deer in the headlights look when I tell people that, lol. I hate watching most TV, haven't watched the "news" in several years because there's no longer any "real and factual" information, it's 99.9% bull$hit so I just avoid it all together anymore. On the very rare occasion that I sit on the couch to watch TV it is usually something that I DVR'd so I can skip all of the commercials. I have become even more productive since putting down the TV remote and always try to be active doing something rather than just sitting around. And to be honest, these threads are pretty entertaining and are great $hitter reading material :)

It's 10:40. I just came in and took off my clothes and laid down in bed. My alarm is set for 04:30.

I simply do not have time in my life for news.

I live life by what I see and what I experience from humans around me. No one that I know or deal with know anyone who has had a virus/cold/flue for over a year. The horrific pandemic is not real to me or those that I live life near.

Too painful to post a pic.

Caught a ROCK and now have a nice little spider to add to the chip 4 inches over.

If I wasn't rushing to beat the weather to help my wife, I would have not been THERE.

So that's two on her now. Tailgate + broken windshield.

Sad ):
Should’ve had a bug deflector

Just did my first service three weeks ago in my garage, but prior to that I bought some clear plastic tubing to fit on the front filter drain, and the same for the rear. Removed the front short factory drain hose so it wouldn't run all over the front axle, and installed and rerouted a longer hose. On the rear filter I cut the hose long enough to reach down to the pan, opened the drain and then loosened the filter housing to help it flow easier. Then I shut the valve off, removed the hose and slipped a one gallon zip lock bag up around the filter housing, then removed with the ratchet wrench, didn't spill any! I read about the bag trick when I had my EcoDiesel, which had a similar rear filter. It works!

At least insurance covers the windshield, or at least mine does. No deductible either.
