2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Was trying to decide changing to a limited vs Laramie for the specific reason of the suede inserts on the leather interior in a Laramie. I love the way the suede looks but I'm concerned if it is going to look like crap in a couple years. Seems like water, dust, wear and just crap in general Is going to make it look terrible down the road. Anyone have experience with the long term haul with the suede inserts? I'm about ready to switch to a limited model just to avoid the suede.
Just make it a good habit of cleaning the seats, and other heavily touched surfaces, regularly and the will last a long time. Dirt/grime is the single greatest cause of accelerated wear on interior surfaces.

First post and also eager to know what is going on with my 22 build. I already have it on the tracking sheet. Also ordered from Mark Dodge, but I ordered with Lucas. He has been great, super responsive to emails and very happy so far. Think we can say that if you get anyone from Mark Dodge they're gonna be on point! Attached is a pic of my build.

Its all about how well you take care of the seats. Kids, dirty environment, pets will all accelerate the wear process. I've seen cloth seats in 10+ yo cars look great and leather seats a few years old look horrible. All about the caretaker! If you are someone that likes to keep their truck in good order then you have nothing to worry about, even many years down the line. If you have pets Id recommend seat covers no matter what trim you end up with.

Was just informed by my dealer that the 2022s are in partial production and should be in full swing by the end of this week/early next week delaying 2022 production by 1-2 weeks, no shortage of sunroof but the microchip issue is what delayed the 2021s which delayed the 2022s

I've got a 1500 Laramie. The suede is the cleanest part of my seat currently and I own a dirt work business if that tells you anything. They've held up great over the last 2.5 years.

I appreciate the information, I own a cabinet business and dust is a big issue. Was worried it might be a dust magnet

Anybody know if they are updating the LED headlights on the HDs? When I re-built today on the website, it seemed as though the rendering of the headlights are different; even though it still build's as a 2021.

Yep,they had to make almost 1400 more 2021 builds on 8/9 and then switching to 22 models when those were done.

Were you building a Laramie or Limited

I think it's just the way the render looks, I noticed the base LED's on the bighorn/laramie look a little different than in real life. I would save the render images now for a 2021 and wait till it's updated online and check for differences.

I’m not sure what you previously built, but the limited has projector beam LEDs whereas the Laramie has reflector LEDs. That might be what you are noticing.
Yeah. That’s what I thought to. But on the Ram build site they look different now. They looked normal last week. And I read somewhere that they changed the lights for 22. Guess we shall see soon.

I've heard the LED lights will be slimmer on the 22s

You’re welcomed from AK lol

Received this from the dealer I have been talking with: "you technically don't need to come down to the dealership if you don't want to it's not 100% required, I'll just collect some credit information from you". Have dealerships collected any "credit information" from you all prior to ordering?

Nope

Mine did for me, just to make sure that I can get approved before ordering

Mark dodge required some proof that you could afford the truck. Proof of credit score or a bank account with enough in it for the price of the truck. I sent a screenshot of my Credit Karma scores. They did not pull a credit report, nor should a dealership at the ordering stage.
