Ya not sure about this e-argument and also I'm an engineer by licensure...so I naturally suck at math and will take your word for it and stay out of it. One thing to note about Sandi's offers is to some extent she will also let you utilize affiliate codes along with things like Penfed discounts (not clear if they will be available for the 2022). If you have not taken delivery, you might want to ask if your dealer is willing to let you utilize them, each has it's own incentive package for the dealer...some cost them, some cost them nothing and some actually give them a little in return. I do agree, if you are a distance away and need to have it trucked to you, it will eat into that price difference quickly so it makes sense to stay local.
I try to give my local dealer every chance possible...I even absorbed a decent chunk of money on the last truck I bought from them. This time I was also willing to eat a few thousand and was willing to entertain absorbing a bit more this time to keep the money local...i think they just got too comfortable and actually lost the sale based on customer service/lack of responsiveness. He was 1% under invoice, I didn't push the matter and he knew I wasn't super worried about price, price was not really why the deal went south. It's the little things like not following thru on calls and continually spelling a persons name wrong on correspondence/documents...it's not hard...my name is only 4 letters with two common spelling variations. At the point I got tired of it...why should I have to try to give you almost 100k...I decided to just shop based on price, I personally don't mind driving it home as it's an excuse to do a road trip.
