Price negotiated from MSRP

Thanks to this site i got a great quote from Sandi on a 2022 build. The 12% is great but does Ram typically put rebates on there 2500s? I have never owned a ram and chevy usually never gives any good rebates on there HDs,, Does Ram ever offer decent cash rebates? Is it worth waiting to see?

Its a crap shoot. If there is a rebate, it applies when you take delivery and not when you order. No point in waiting.

You would have save total of 12% off msrp do math
I'm actually quite competent with math. Here are my numbers. For the Mark Dodge price, I used 5.5% under invoice, as has been reported in this thread multiple times. That also works out to 11.3% under MSRP.

MSRP - $52,365
Invoice - $49,137
Affiliate - $48,645
Mark Dodge - $46,434

Mark Dodge comes out $2,211 cheaper. I talked to a shipper to get an idea of that cost. He gave a rough estimate of $1,700. After factoring that in, the difference is down to $511.

I don’t know what this e-argument is about, but for $500 difference I would buy locally.

Ya not sure about this e-argument and also I'm an engineer by licensure...so I naturally suck at math and will take your word for it and stay out of it. One thing to note about Sandi's offers is to some extent she will also let you utilize affiliate codes along with things like Penfed discounts (not clear if they will be available for the 2022). If you have not taken delivery, you might want to ask if your dealer is willing to let you utilize them, each has it's own incentive package for the dealer...some cost them, some cost them nothing and some actually give them a little in return. I do agree, if you are a distance away and need to have it trucked to you, it will eat into that price difference quickly so it makes sense to stay local.

I try to give my local dealer every chance possible...I even absorbed a decent chunk of money on the last truck I bought from them. This time I was also willing to eat a few thousand and was willing to entertain absorbing a bit more this time to keep the money local...i think they just got too comfortable and actually lost the sale based on customer service/lack of responsiveness. He was 1% under invoice, I didn't push the matter and he knew I wasn't super worried about price, price was not really why the deal went south. It's the little things like not following thru on calls and continually spelling a persons name wrong on correspondence/documents...it's not hard...my name is only 4 letters with two common spelling variations. At the point I got tired of it...why should I have to try to give you almost 100k...I decided to just shop based on price, I personally don't mind driving it home as it's an excuse to do a road trip.

I certainly wasn't trying to insult you, my point was you would also qualify for additional $400 from tread lightly which affiliate. I'm from Massachusetts 1500 miles away and my shipping cost is approximately $1,300 and because Mark dodge is 700 miles from Mexico plant and he's fleet dealer last month 300 orders for Trucks ,I suspect delivery from Mexico to Louisiana El rapido.

Very well said and smart

Just ordered from Mark Dodge. Aaron is the man. MSRP for 2022 Limited was $86,145. My price is $76,236 +$444 dealer fee. Bud Clary nor Dennis Dillon could beat Mark Dodge with all fees included. Plus I am not beholden to Chrysler financing.

Did you use the Penfed discount? How does one take advantage of that $1k?

I plan to. I just joined today. So I’ll request it when I’ve been a member for 60 days. That plus military nets me an additional $1500 off of the already low price.

As I'm sure you know- it's TBD if Penfed will offer $1,000 off on the 2022 MY trucks. I think a lot of us assume they will like they do on the 2021 trucks. But they started to yet.

Hi everyone-

Long time watcher, first time poster here. I've had 3 HD Ram DRWs in the past, looking to order a '22 3500 HO SRW Limited.

My local dealership (I'm currently in Palm Springs, CA) wants MSRP + $4,995 additional markup + a bunch of BS options like wheel locks $195, Nitrofill $295, Clear Shield $595 to order a truck. Extras are "non-negotiable". Sales manager says: "We only have a limited number of allocations..... blah blah blah...." I told him that he is INSANE and left the dealership.

I'll be ordering from one of the dealerships mentioned in this thread very soon. I just need to figure out what I want and get it going.

Thank you all for providing this pricing/ordering information and making these great prices available to the rest of us!!

Welcome to the forum! Wow, that is INSANE!! The nerve of those guys. Sad part is, someone will pay it. It’s definitely worth the effort of doing your research. I would email the sales manager of local dealer and attach copy of your build sheet and pricing, after you find what you want. Also, let him know that your a member of a forum that has numerous local members that will know how you were treated!

Ordered a 2022 2500 Longhorn Megacab 6.7L.

Priced it at all the suggested dealers (Mark Dodge, Bud Clary, Dennis Dillon) as well as Dave Smith (Bought vehicles there before) and locally (SF Bay Area). Dave Smith was $2k over invoice. Sandi had the best deal (11.7% under MSRP), but Dennis Dillon was really close (11.4% under MSRP). With family in Idaho, it just ended up making more sense to pick up the truck in ID and visit family.

When I approached local dealers with the pricing, I was literally laughed at and told to stop wasting time and just order the truck from Dennis Dillon/Mark Dodge.

Dennis Dillon is 472 miles from me and gave me a price close to Mark Dodge. But they add $2000 to the price when you pay by cash or check.
Mark Dodge is 2300 miles away and no BS when you buy a truck.
Even with the expense of shipping it wasn't hard to decide.
It's principle and I'm old fashion.

Yeah. They add $2k if you don’t finance through Chrysler Capital. I like my credit Union because they don’t e you on rates. That and there is a $650 fee for a safety package which is a flashing third brake light. And they required a $3k deposit. All of these pushed me further towards Mark Dodge.
