2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Just a thought, but I’ve seen a few people with ship dates showing 8/14 which seems preposterous. However, since the 2022 is basically exactly the same as the 2021 with a few minor changes, what are the chances they had some trucks built to 95% completion and just waiting for the 2022 bits? Line changes over on the 9th, add few missing bits and then ship it out?

Probably just wishful thinking, I don’t know how the assembly lines operate.
It doesn't take lone to build one

There would have been no trucks on the line when they shut it down, finish the 21 builds, clear the line for maintenance etc, come back from shutdown and crank out 22 models

I think a lot of this is just talk to figure out if the dates are legit or not. Do I need to start looking at financing now? Or should I wait a month? That all depends on the ship date really. If it truly is 8/14 or whatever, then I need to start working on that now.
And flights and shipping or whatever else.

I’ve asked Sandi for 2 updates, the first once pricing was released. And the second today. I honestly don’t care as long as I have the truck by June of next year. But I do however need to plan for when it is going to be ready

Good lord people, just relax, haha!! I’ve never seen so much anxiousness. It’s like a bunch of children on Christmas Eve! I know this will piss off a lot of you, and you will respond with “I’m paying $xx,xxx for a vehicle, I have the right to now…..”. But, I promise you, they will alert you when your truck is ready and I doubt, hounding a salesman WEEKLY will get it built any faster. Also, I’m sure Sandi and other salespeople have a million other things to do other than answer your pesky calls. Cue the triggered responses……. I will turn my alerts off for this topic! I thought there would be more useful info.

I don’t think it so much that were anxious or we can hurry up to production, it’s just fun to track it from order to delivery.

That’s my VIN lol, does that mean anything? My dealer is not good at communicating.
Who knows. I just thought it might be interesting to see if the trucks converted to '22 orders might be prioritized. Let us know if you hear updates from your dealer so we can try to confirm or deny that's the case. It certainly doesn't seem to be the case from the sequence/PRO number.

Yeah, I need my flatbed to be ready when my 5500 CA is delivered otherwise its not so useful :)

After seeing everyone posting updates I reached out to my SA and was just informed there was an update today.

Build/ship date of 8/11 like people have been posting.

*EDIT* If the truck gets to California by end of August I'll be extremely happy to say the least :)

Just got an interesting response from Ram chat this morning on order status. They say they no longer use/provide build status codes but said all material have been procured and would be entering the production process shortly but they did not have a ship ETA yet. I asked if this was further progress than the D status description of "Firm schedule: serial number assigned" and they said yes it was... This seems to be in between D and D1 status as from my understanding D1 status typically has a ship ETA.

Has anyone else received a similar response?
When did you place your order? I think most here are in a D status still gathering parts?

Where is Homey D Clown when you need him?

from ramchat today:
"Thank you so much for holding, I appreciate your patience. I am showing that your order is in the scheduling phase of the manufacturing process. The parts required to build the vehicle are being scheduled and as soon as they available and ready, order will be scheduled for build. The 2022 RAMs have not started production quite yet, In this case we can suggest checking back in a week or so for an update on your order. Congratulations again on the purchase! We appreciate having you in the RAM family!"
........so no production at this time
