Your gun is poop

My daily carry pistol is a Sig P365..

My woods carry pistol is usually a Springfield Armory XD-M Elite OSP 3.8" 10mm...

My newest pistol is a Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special Gen II in .45acp. It is #26 of #65 ever built.

I have lots of pistols, rifles, shotguns, and bows.

I have an insurance policy just for my collection. My most valuable firearm is a 1968 Browning O/U Superposed 12ga bought new by Jack O'Connor 40 miles from where I live now. I am working on a deal with the Jack O'Connor Museum to loan it out to them for display.

Is that the steel frame?

Wish I had waited to buy my M&P now that these are available.
It’s the metal frame from the “spec series” run they did a while back in ODG. It’s not steel, probably aluminum. It’s fairly light. I do believe they have steel frames now rolling out as an option.
I added this slide to the used frame and it was a good bit cheaper than a metal two tone carry comp is new

I see alot of TISAS 1911/2011 pistols now. How do you like yours?

Only thing I have to compare it to is an older Para Ordinance P14 in 45acp. It's ok, but is finicky with mags and what kind of rounds I feed it.
Mine has been flawless, never had one issue out of it. It’s always been a suppressor host for me and it has never failed to function where other pistols have needed different recoil springs etc to run stuff like 158gr or 165gr. Its not a high end pistol but its well made and does what it needs to do.

This one takes staccato mags, prodigy mags etc standard 2011 mags so far I haven’t had any mag trouble because all of the mags are high end. The mags that shipped with it were checkmate or something else recognizable I can’t specifically remember.

I do wish it was cut for a larger optic. It’s cut for rmsc footprint likely because of the narrow slide design of it. I’m sure eventually I’ll find an optic with a bigger window for it

Got my form 1 approved and had to build an action wrench to get the barrel off and threaded. Cut the front sight base back about 1/4” so I could pin it between the gas block and flash hider but here it is. Pardon the messy shop

Travel & Home Defense - A pair of Springfield Armory's polymer 9s. First is an Echelon with comp and Holosun optic. The second is a Hellcat RDP with comp and ADE optic.

A CMMG Banshee in .45 is also tasked with home defense.

I'd like something short in a 12 ga for home defense as well.

Anyone here use a Small Of Back holster for a Concel carry?
Thinking of maybe trying one.
I tried it and found it way more difficult over appendix carry. That said, I'm skinny and appendix works.

This site has a good description and pretty much sums up what I learned... The main reason I didn't like it, is because unless you remove it before sitting down, it's not only painful, but drawing it is quickly is not a thing.
