Hey all,

Found a local deal on a lot of 5 DBL7349’s from Donaldson for a smokin deal, and am thinking about going away from the fleetguard stratopore oil filters I have been running. At 20 bucks a filter, I’m stoked on the price point of the DBL’s.

Any feedback from guys who have used these? The numbers look great on them. FWIW, I’m running a 2022 SO cummins truck, but I figured that was implied with the part number I’m referencing.

It’s the only filter I use. It’s better than the Fleetguard Stratapore in all aspects.

The LF16035 is typically less expensive than the Donaldson DBL7349 by about $10. I usually see the LF16035 for $15-$25 and the DBL7349 for $25-35 depending on the vendor. If you scored DBL7349’s for $20, I’d call that a win. The DBL7348 is the best spin-on oil filter you can buy for these trucks right now. It should serve you well. Although, I will say that I’ve run the LF16035 for the better part of a decade without any issues and the UOA’s I get back show good results in terms of contaminant levels. Unfortunately most of the suppliers I work with locally do not carry Donaldson, and cannot get them without buying in bulk so I’ve stayed with the Fleetguard out of convenience. Either is a good choice.

The Fleetguard AF27684 is an excellent filter, provided you’re using the one made in USA, not Mexico. It is in every way identical to the Mopar 53034051AB and will serve you well. I have About 100k on two trucks running those air filters and zero issues with them.

The Donaldson engine air filters I’ve seen for these trucks appear to be manufactured by an outside entity (not Donaldson but a rebrand of something cheaper) and had the glue strips. I wouldn’t recommend trying one, especially not when you can get the OEM Mopar 53034051AB or Fleetguard AF27684 (US made) and be good to go.
