XFQ prep kit

Greetings!
I have a 2019 Laramie 2500, that has the brake light camera and the backup camera. When I went to install the XFQ, the dash harness connector was already populated by the brake light camera.

I suppose I could have pulled that and used it for the XFQ trailer wiring, but then you have no cargo cam. Though about a splitter and dipswitch, but then its getting silly at that point..

So, I have sent that back, and wanted to know what other wired options I could use and programming for the 8.5" U connect screen?

For the XFQ, you insert the wires into 8A, 9A and 10A in the XY370A dash plug. The brake light camera is actually in those sockets. This is actually what mine is wired like.

Something's not right. @Phil T was able to add XFQ to his 2019.

Assuming he also had cargo cam.
Jimmy had told me long ago when i got my 19 that because of my trailer cam i could not add the cargo cam so it only makes sense it cant be done the opposite way

If you do not have surround view, then you can’t have the cargo camera and aux camera. The cargo camera that is used on surround view equipped trucks is digital, and runs through the CVPM. The cargo camera on non surround view trucks is analog, and uses the same camera input as the aux 1 camera. I’m not 100% sure on the 2019, but, if you enable VehConfig 8: Auxiliary Trailer Camera present, and 2 aux camera soft keys show up, you can make one aux cam input the cargo camera, and the other your trailer camera. You just wouldn’t have the cargo grid lines anymore.
