wobbly power wagon...

Front end, track bar and drag link should be parallel. As flat as possible gives best handling.

rear end, track bar should be as flat as possible. That’s why raising it helps. Which, to my knowledge, is what the kits do.

On Jeeps, you just triangulate and toss that track bar ;). I have been thinking about the Thuren track bar for mine.
well that is one way to do it lol. The Thuren is a nice piece of hardware for sure.

yes that is what it does which corrects roll center. on the front having tb and DL parallel helps keep bumpsteer away.

What caused it to actually need the track bar compared to your truck??
if this is directed at me, I am guessing that the couple hundred extra pounds and that his James Baroud on top of his topper mounted to about 100lbs of uni strut all combined to create his issues and beyond that maybe just bad luck or luck of the draw.

I had the same handling issues when my 2021 was new… towing a relatively light trailer (3500 lbs)… the truck was all over the place… I changed tires… went to method wheels and E rated 35” BF Goodrich… helped a little.. not much…
I put a Hellwig sway bar in rear… which comes with much heavier duty sway bar links… that pretty much solved the problem… I can tow a 10,000 eqt. trailer now with confidence… it doesn’t feel quite as good as the diesel trucks I have had in the past… but it feels safe… I feel like I could tighten it up more… and am considering the track bars … front and rear… I may do that… but I don’t want to destroy the vehicle ride either…

Thanks for the intel, I’m definitely going to look at that Thuren bar. I haven’t heard anyone mention WeighSafe but their hitch takes the guesswork out of loading the trailer.

this reply isn’t for me... i posted about the Hellwog away bar

My buddy has a 2020 PW he got it about a month after I got mine. We camp quite a bit together and he set his up with an RSI smart cap and James Baroud XXL tent. He has a Decked system as well. a few weeks ago we were headed out and he went to pass a semi and he said when he was next to it he thought he was going to crash and thought he had death wobble. I was in front of him and never had an issue passing it hit probably 85mph in doing so. Any way fast forward last week we went camping again and I was following him and he was all over the road. went thru a set of S turns at 55 mph which was posted limit and he again was all over. I told my wife "wow I bet he **** his pants there" I went through no bobbles or wobbles. We both run E rated 35's on AEV wheels. Both run the same PSI when loaded ie 55psi. he has Nitto RG and I have Toyo RT so very similar tires made on the same carcass. When we came back we pulled into a cat scale to see the weights fully loaded. We filled up before weighing. He was at 9500lbs I was at 8840lbs. His payload on the door says 1300lbs (he has a level 2) and mine says 1565 (I have a level 1) seems odd there is 265 more weight with a level 2 then level 1. Leather can not weigh that much more. Really suxs that a weekends worth of camping stuff puts you that far over the gvwr. He ordered a Thuren rear track bar as soon as we got home and is calling Carli tomorrow. CJC had a you tube video saying airbags don't really work. What are you guys running heavy doing to help your on highway ride? Anyone know if OEM 2500 tradesman coils have the same free length as PW coils? We both have ARB 50qt fridges and on this trip both were carrying a yeti 50 qt cooler with 20lbs of ice. This how we are both set up. I have 12500 miles on mine and has around 11000 miles on his so shocks should not be worn out.
I had a similar experience with my 2018 Power Wagon. I had about 70k miles of trouble free driving on all factory equipment. I put 35" Nito RidgeGrapplers on at about 22k miles. My truck started getting realy bad body roll/wobble when hitting uneven road surfaces at hwy speeds. I figured it had to be the shocks. I put the Thuren 1/2" front coils and factory hight rear coils with the extended rear drag links and the Thuren Overlander shocks. After all that, the wobble got a little worse. I was completely perplexed as to what the issue was. This was happening with my truck loaded for everyday stuff. It runs around 8300 pounds. Elk season was coming up so I put 4 new Nito RidgeGrapplers on it and I couldn't believe it... the wobble was gone!

My only issue now is with the extended swaybars in the rear. It gives the rear suspension more travel. When the rear suspension is at full droop. The rear drive shift hits the gas tank skid guard cross bar and all of the brake lines are taunt. I haven't decided if I want to cut a secttion out of the cross bar or just install down drop stop cables to prevent travel.

This gives an idea of how much the drive shaft rubs on the cross bar for the gas tank skid plate. The flang is unbolted. The rear axel is at full droop and the drive shaft is resting on the cross bar.
