My iPhone fits into the charge cradle with a case on. It’s tight, but it fits. Perhaps try sliding in at a different angle. ........the phone, that is!anyone else have a phone that will not fit in the wireless charging slot ? there is a tab that prevents my iphone from going in the slot horizontally.
I have a Glaxy S9 and it charges fine standing vertically. Is your iPhone that much taller? It will fit vertically but the ipnone pro max will not go in horizontally. It needs to be centered to charge. I am going to look at a little plastic surgery on the console.
This is infuriating... Why even go through the hassles of designing something if you don't actually make it useful in the real world? Is this a $80K truck or a $3 chinese product?Mine charges, but I have to get it in just the right spot, and it will sometimes lose contact on a real bumpy surface, since the weight of the phone doesn't help it stay put when standing vertically. Not useless for me, but certainly not well thought out. You have to wonder who designs this stuff. Do they reside in the real world?
Have you tried it without the case (just to make sure the feature works)? I have a note 8 with a Spigen case and it works well in a vertical position, even on bumpy roads. I do have to ensure I hit the "sweet spot" just right otherwise I don't get a connection. In my truck, the phone has to sit about 3/4" to the right of the little blue/green/red light to get a good connection. My Note 8 fits great with a case, but it won't charge. The wireless charger that they use is worthless and I let them know.
It's difficult to stand a burrito on endOf course we did test it without the case and it worked fine. Having to take it out of a case is a deal breaker, especially since the case I use is the thin Verizon shell case that works perfectly on a charging pad in the house.
The design test must have used a phone without a case. Not a real world environment.
They should have made the charging pad extra powerful to account for cases. Heating burritos with it would be cool, too.
That's too bad. My Spigen case isn't as thick as something like an Otterbox, but it's not thin either. Only suggestion I can make, which you've likely already tried, is to move it left or right in the slot to see if it kicks on. If mine's left or right of the sweet spot by much more than a 1/4", it won't charge. So, it is real finicky. I've placed a little bit of colored tape vertically of the left side so I can make sure I line it up correctly each time. After putting the tape on, I rarely miss the spot. Hope it gets better for you. Also, even in the correct spot, it'll sometimes take a good few seconds before the charging starts.Of course we did test it without the case and it worked fine.
