Hi all!

I bought last week a 2500 Cummins model Crew cab. Do you have any recommendations for winter tires? I live in the Mountains of Colorado but im planning to do snow plow also this upcoming winter so studs may be a need. Looking for a 20" tire. Thanks!

Just ordered a set of Falken Wildpeak AT4W. There winter rated with the 3 peak mountain symbol. Few friends up in Canada run them all year. Good reviews.

It's too bad that the choices for studded heavier commercial use with the 3 Ply sidewall and the 3PMSF rating tires are becoming even fewer with the latest models. Both the Goodyear Duratrac RT and the Falken Wildpeak AT4W are not studdable. Studs are legal all year in Colorado.

Three studdable options:

Wrangler Duratrac (not R/T)
Yokohama Geolandar A/T XD
Nokian Hakepelitta LT3 (275 65 20) which is a bit taller by 1/2 inch and slightly skinnier which is actually better for snow/ice, imo.

I'm going back to a 285 75R17 Goodyear Duratrac RT from 35 12.50R17 Toyo C/T's on our Ram 2500 4x4 Power Wagon soon. Too wide in winter conditions for unplowed snow. If only the 285 75R17 was available in the Goodyear Duratrac (not R/T).

Running the Duratrac (not R/T) on our 1500 4x4 pickup on 16 inch wheels and am quite pleased. Highly recommend being that they are studdable, but with a 2 ply sidewall it's best suited for not going over rocky terrain with a 2500 pickup. Punctured through two Duratrac (not R/T) tires on our Power Wagon.
