For those of you that use/used them do they actually work? i.e. allow you to lower the window to allow fresh air in to minimize/alleviate fogging on rainy days?

Yes, they do. Leave my windows cracked most days. Vents heat and no rain gets in. Not annoying with windows cracked even when driving 80mph. Still like to use my defroster/AC to defog.

I went with the in-channel on my Ram. They look better, though not as flawless as my stick-ons I have used in the past.

Which specific ones do you 3 use?
Mine are EGR brand. They are in channel as well. Had them on for several months now. No issues. Tight at first. Auto up/anti pinch feature kept retracting the window because of that, but they break in fast.

Avs stick ons i hate in channel ones had em before was not happy with them

Yes. And can keep open slightly when raining as well.

AVS in channel. Tight at first. Same issue with auto up but now are good after a week. Happy with them.

This ^^^, after a little break-in they work pretty good. The stick-ons don’t require any sort of break-in

I went with MOPAR vents... I prefer in channel to tape on vents.
Work great when parking out from under cover to keep some airflow in the truck so it isn't a sauna.

This is my second truck with Weather Tech in channel vent shades. They work as advertised and any future trucks will have them too.

The new low profile are the best yet.

AVS on my last 4 trucks. They keep getting better.
