Window tint %

very nice looking rig John, that Lear matches great. So is the back tint , what came on it stock from factory and then you had 20% put over light front tinted windows. Because that looks really well to me as far as matching

Thanks Rich,
You got it right. The back windows are factory tint and the fronts are 20% over the light factory tint

Thats all I want right there. Did you just go with a generic at a auto shop or something pricey.

I'm too cheap, went generic, the window tint shop I go to uses good generic stuff and he didn't try to talk me into the pricey.
I asked him about pricey but wasn't all that convinced it would be worth the cost. If someone wants good UV protection and doesn't want dark then pricey is the answer. The two front windows was 80.00,

My whole truck with sunroof was 4 going with Pinnacle, it would have been around 6 with Stratos. Dropping down to CTX would have been around 250.

Good info, I need to chat up my tint guy again now that things are opening up here.

We were talking around 400 for 5 windows and a brow with a ceramic IR film but I don't recall what brand or product he said it was. He did my 2003 Audi new and it's still perfect though the driver window film is starting to show its age a bit with fine scratches from the door inside wiper seal (very dry and dusty here).

thats me to. I don't want to spend over 100, so I'll just do the same thing. I've actually just always done my own but since this thing is going to be pushing 90k with all my accessories, I'm too scared that I might =>@× it up. I'm a chicken $#/+ I know.

5% over rear windows. I also got 5% over the 35% tint the dealer installed that they charge $300 on top of the sticker price. Phoenix summers are no joke plus i don't like people looking at me when I'm picking my nose at a stop light. Lol.

Amen. 15% all the way around on mine. Still fighting to get the $349 back since there wasn’t any film from the dealer.

Went with a 20% all around on mine, with the factory on the back + 20% it's really nice but not insane darkness and with 20 on the driver and passenger, no LEO in AZ will even bother to write me for tint too dark.

15 and 2500-0002.jpg

Dealer added 349 and you didn't catch it? What else did they add or say they added on that you had to haggle over in finance?
