2019 2500 Laramie mega cab with the offroad package at stock height

Wheels: 18x8.5 +6mm Offset
Pro Comp Heritage

Tires: Cooper ST Maxx LT 305/70R18 (35.1in) Load range E
Backup size: LT295/70R18

Curious if these will work without rubbing on my new truck. Not a fan of the 20s and the cost of tires for them, and the cost to do a full matching spare. I would prefer a true 35in, but also as a DD I dont want to deal with rubbing. If anyone runs these sizes on a stock truck please post a pic. Also curious if the offset will work in my favor in comparison to the stock 20s.

Don’t understand the need for bigger tires on road driven trucks. Even off road 2” isn’t going to make any difference.

The Cooper ST Maxx lasted me over 100k on my 1500 I just traded in with life to spare while towing and hauling on the regular. I can get 35in tires for 18s for cheaper than OEM sizes for 20s. Selling my 20s should pay for alot of my wheels and tires. I like the look of a "beefy" tires on smaller wheels over whats on their now.

Well, I have to agree with you on that. Can’t beat the look of a 38” Super Swamper on a 15” rim.

I keep seeing "35s rub at full lock" or "35s dont rub" all over the internet. Still curious if those sizes will work as I dont plan on lifting this truck.

I can confirm that 35x12.50r18 on stock wheels rub at full lock. No amount of lift will fix this, it rubs on the radius arms. You can swap the radius arms with Thuren high-clearance arms (about $1,800!). You will also need a high clearance sway bar (or take it off). I am currently running 35x12.50r18 on 17x8.5" wheels with + 25mm offset, with no rubbing of any kind, even in extreme off-road situations. If you went with a 35x11.50, they would probably not rub at all, or very little at full lock, on stock wheels. The stock 20" wheels have + 54mm offset, your proposed wheel would move the centerline of your tires out by 48mm (about 1.9"). When you move the wheel out too far, you will start to hit the fender liner, due to excessive scrub radius. For best clearance CJC recommends + 18mm to + 27mm offset...

LT305/70R18 look to be 35x12 per the calculator I used. I might just stick with the 295s as they seem to be 34.3ish x 11.6ish. I only do light offroading when camping, but this is my DD so I want/need driveability. I also have little motivation in suspension work just yet. Thank you for your input it helped ALOT!
