Why do people like cab/clearance lights so much?

I wouldn't have ordered them on mine but law requires then on duallies due to the width. I agree, the less holes the better.

They came with the snow chief pkg. I wanted limited slip, didn't really care, now I like them...and the bigger alternator and aux sw

Because it makes pick ups look like big rigs. The front on the new Rams is very appealing and the lights make them even better.
I have always wanted the cab lights and finally got some.
Then there is no doubt you are not driving a 1500 or a Toyota.

There are multiple part numbers for that application that vary by things such as rain sensitive wipers, ambient light detection, Air Cond ATC W/ Dual Zone, day/night rear view mirror, GPS, TBM and so on. Likely need more specifics on the build or perhaps Jimmy07 knows an easy work around.

Another is when you pass a 1500, they scream, “I got the big one”. And “my gas mileage really sucks” LOL
seriously, I think the roof would look goofy with just those antennas. And for me, I didn’t realize I had lights up there until I took it home. It was dark by then.

Like you, got the roof lights to take all the focus off that huge antenna and I think they look cool.

If you have a choice, just personal preference I guess. However in my opinion the less holes in the roof the better. Main reason I didn't order a sun roof.

Ya I also ordered with cab lights because of the stupid unequal antenna setup. Kinda like having a girl friend with one flap hanging a bit low…doesn’t affect operations but still wonky looking.

I drive on country roads a lot and I couldn't believe how much approaching vehicles move over and give you more room at night when you have the clearance lights. Some of our local roads are narrow and not lined, and things can get pretty tight passing another car. With the clearance lights people might expect it to be a big dump truck or something and don't want to take any chances.
