Wheel Swap Question

Hey all,

My first post here. So I just got a leveling kit, CJC's Ram Method 315s, and some 37" BF Goodrich K02s for my 2019 Ram 2500. As I am sure many of you will know these tires while looking super kick ass aren't going to have the same functional value as the original wheels and tires (maybe not so much the Firestone Transforces, but still). My question is should I keep the OEM wheels and tires around just in case I need to tow something larger than my snowmobile trailer? I don't own or plan to own a 5th wheel or a travel trailer but who knows what the future holds. I know many of you have swapped out wheels and tires, do any of you regret selling the OEMs or for those that kept them are they just taking up space in your garage? I appreciate your input.

If you have a place to keep them. I would hold on to them since they are already paid for.

You never know what the future is going to bring.
 
I put better tires on my oem rims for winter so i keep em but if you dont have winter issues where you are just unload em
 
I've always kept the stock tires around, but really never did anything with them. On my old truck I had polished forged wheels and I'd throw the stockers on every couple years and do a major cleanup and polish on the Welds. I'm also not a fan of how some tire shops run the lug nuts on with an impact gun either ofer tightening or burning the center caps, so I've had new tires mounted and then put them on the truck myself, but it's a pain.
 
I've had stock wheels/tires sitting around for way too long, too many times. Only times I've used them was if I was running low on tread, and needed them for inspection. But, that's when I made less money too. IMO just more junk laying around.

As for winter, 17" tires will be better than a 20" tire from the research I've done.

Does not make a difference really the 20s will cost more but since its not a low pro tire it will not matter
