I know you already sold yours but maybe to help others, I thought with the OEM boards you can set them to not deploy?
I wouldn't want either AMP's or OIM's power steps for offroad but a set of plain old tubular steps
You just disable them thru the radio. At least mine you can. They were Amps and could disable them by pulling the plug under the dash so I did when out of town.
They would get ripped off faster. If your banging up the amp steps, you need proper sliders.I wouldn't want either AMP's or OIM's power steps for offroad but a set of plain old tubular steps
I don’t touch that thing except for the volume knob…she does. You just disable them thru the radio. At least mine you can.
To me the exhaust break button location is just dumb. Why wasn't it put on a thumb paddle switch on the steering wheel like the gear selector paddle?
I don't want to take my eyes off the road when towing the 5th wheel when starting a down hill curve if I feel a need to change my exhaust break setting.
This was one of the minor points about tuning that was fixed and is noticed daily for me. As well as the exhaust brake being utilized at lower speeds than originally. What's worse is you have to click it every time you power the truck on.
Maybe that's what I hate most about mine, now that I think about it.
My poor Wrangler has had more issues on its own than every vehicle I've ever owned combined.right now the most annoying thing about my truck is the front driveshaft at the transfer case is slinging grease all over....have an appoint on Wednesday to get it checked out. I gotta say I have had more issues with this truck in 21000 miles than I did on all my Fords trucks put together and more than my last 4 jeep wranglers combined.
Are you saying that the exhaust brake can be programed to be on after every startup? This was one of the minor points about tuning that was fixed and is noticed daily for me. As well as the exhaust brake being utilized at lower speeds than originally.
Not all My Wranglers were trouble free, but even so less problems than my 2020 power wagon. 3 of my wranglers never saw a dealership after purchase, my 2014 had some warranty work in the 60,000 miles I owned it but still less than my power wagon has in 21,000 miles. My poor Wrangler has had more issues on its own than every vehicle I've ever owned combined.
That is how my 2020 Ram is...and I bought my first new truck in 1977...what year wrangler and what issues have you had?My poor Wrangler has had more issues on its own than every vehicle I've ever owned combined.
Yes, it stays on whatever you had it before turning the truck off, on auto or full. No matter how long the truck has been off for.Are you saying that the exhaust brake can be programed to be on after every startup?
