The time is finally here! I swear I read some guidelines or something on here once of what to look for when picking up your truck but can't find them anywhere. I am just looking for some advice on what you guys do when you pick them up. Do you go over the list and make sure all of the options are on there that you ordered, check to make sure everything works, look for any scratches, defects, misalignments, etc.? Then take it out for a drive and listen or look for any issues before you sign anything? How thorough to you really need to be though? If there are any problems, they are going to get fixed under warranty anyways so are you mostly looking to make sure everything is there and there are no cosmetic problems?

Here is the link to that thread you are referring to.

That's actually the one I was expecting when I went to 5thgenrams too!

1- Make sure it comes with all the options you ordered.
2- Make sure all extra parts that should be there are there, e.g. ttpms sensors.
3- Problem wise, I would only worry about big things that would make you not take delivery of the vehicle and minor easy things they can take care of right there that wouldn't fall under the warranty.
4- Make sure the tires aren't overinflated.

Don't overplay your hand when negotiating through any issues. There's probably a lot of dealers who have very few trucks on their lot now and might not mind if you walk away from a good deal on a custom order so they could turn around and sell it for more.

Good stuff
