What is your favorite truck cap with sliding windows?

6-8 weeks
On par with what I was told. Said some have been coming in 4 weeks now. That is down from 12 weeks when I inquired a few months ago. We shall see!

Just to chime in here. I live in Washington. Ordered my ARE on Aug 23, 2021. Coming up on 6 months now and still waiting. COVID, staffing and supply chain delays. My topper was built in the Ohio plant and my dealer said that it is finished but are now waiting on transportation. My guess is that they wont deliver till they have a full truck to come out West. Another forum said that they were way behind on backorders. This is my 3rd ARE canopy that I have ordered from my local dealer, never been a problem before. COVID exhaustion.
Good luck!

I think I got pretty lucky. I also live in Washington and ordered a Leer in mid February. It arrived in 3 weeks!

Man, that's great! Maybe the supply chain is starting to ramp up again. I finally took order of my ARE canopy, 6 month and 1 day from placing my order in late August. It was installed filthy dirty and it took me over an hour to get whatever crap off that was on the side windows (Dawn soap and squeegee to the rescue). Hopefully, I wont have to purchase a new canopy for quite a while. If I do, it wont be from this distributor or from ARE again. Never had trouble with ARE in the past, this is my 3rd ARE canopy. Just bad timing on my part.

I am sending this while camping at beautiful Fort Casey State Park. Being from Washington State you might know where that is. Enjoy your new canopy and RAM truck.

Wait....build quality, fit and finish and delivery times are all seriously suffering due to supply chain issues and personnel shortages due to COVID. I've had three ARE caps, the third I bought last year. Took 8 months and this cap was of dramatically lesser quality than the previous two. All were purchased from the same supplier. Even they admitted that all caps (ARE, LEER in particular) are too expensive and literally hurriedly thrown together. If I could've done it all over again, I would've waited. Nobody knew what COVID was going to due to the supply chain and manufacturer's work crews. The supplier has to field the calls and nothing can really be done. Unless your cap is a true need and not just a "want", wait a year.

That being said, my first two had pop out windows and this one is a slider. I like the slider better. Still an ARE cap fan, just not with the COVID stink on it.
I couldn't really wait a year and ordered and received my Leer already. I do see what you mean about build quality. The frames on both side windows have little protrusions sticking out where the screws from the inside came through too far so the installer is going to replace them. And then the seal on the back window was coming loose a little. I guess the upside is that the installer will probably do a way better job putting in the windows than the factory did, but it is embarrassing that it was even allowed to leave the factory like that. It did only take 3 weeks though.

No complaints on my ARE Z2. Bone dry in back and took 4 weeks ( Feb 2021) to get.

Overall fit, finish and seal are good.

For $4,000 it better be!
