What did you do TO your RAM today?

Put in the air ride stainless kit bags, aint much for pictures but was real happy with schrader valve install. Last time i drilled 2 holes but using the license plate mount was littler cleaner and neat on this truck.

I installed the same kit and also put my schrader valves in the license plate bolt holes. I also went with the 74000 EZ install onboard compressor but ran the Schrader’s as a manual back up contingency in the event the compressor fails. The bags made a big difference for me in the ride while towing the TT and my ability to shift more weight to the front axle for proper weight distribution. I’m happy so far.

If you shifted weight to the front it was done with a WD hitch. The bags are only going to level the truck.

I always use a WDH when towing the TT but the bags do shift weight. I use a Curt Betterweigh device and once I’m hooked up I look at the distribution and can move the weight forward with a fair amount of precision. I can see in real time and inflate or deflate to get the needle in the green zone super precise. I‘ll take a video next time I hook up that demonstrates the weight shifting. I inserted a pic that shows the screen shot from the Curt app. I’ll take a video in the next few days demonstrating.

No doubt there using both. I guess I should have said. no weight shift using ONLY the bags.

Received truck end of September 2020. So far have only completed exterior upgrades

- AMP step bars
- Truxedo cover
- Tinted front windows and visor strip

The more I see pictures of my truck I want to upgrade the wheels and tires

Started installing the Switch-Pros Module and keypad with the SDHQ brackets. Still need to wire it to power , and then start wiring in accessories.

I bought the SDHQ mount like you and just couldn't get the relocated box to not hit stuff when I tried installing it. I found myself worried that I was going to crush the relocated box or at the least beat it up. Mind taking some pics?

I have to disagree slightly. Even if you just simply place a floor jack under the rear axle and lift the rear of the truck, you’ll be shifting some weight to the front. Maybe not much, but there is weight shifting going on anytime you change weight on one axle

The Betterweigh just uses vehicle pitch to determine weight shifting, so it’s presenting inaccurate information when you adjust the air in the bags. If you put a jack under the back axle and lifted it up off the ground it would show you the same changes.

If you don’t have enough WD before you adjust the bags you definitely don’t have enough afterwards. In fact you’re actually reducing the effectiveness of your WD hitch when you inflate the bags as raising the rear end reduces tension on the WD bars.

that bolt snapped on my truck two days after I brought it home from the dealership back in February. I haven’t bothered to bring it in to get looked at. Hasn’t made a noise yet.
I have something that sounds like crickets chirping over any slight imperfection in the road. Even the little tar squiggles in the road. I pulled and retorqued that bolt and I thought it stopped but it started again today. Going to replace that bolt to eliminate that as a cause
