This is more of a progress report, I have much left to do. The bumper is a Steelcraft Fortis. Texture is mild, pretty smooth actually so should be easy to clean.
I love the look. Aggressive but not over-the-top transformer thingy.
Build quality is top notch, the factory bumper is a beer can compared to this thing. Mounting plates were ⅜” steel, the boxed inserts for the lights are ¼” steel and the bumper itself measured just over .225” in thickness so I guess that is 6 gauge+.
Removal of the factory bumper was a bitch. I had the help of two employees and a forklift and it was still a struggle getting those tow hook bolts cracked loose.
The outer lights will be Diode Dynamic fogs, the inside lights will either be amber fogs or just spots to match the 20” double row led light bar in the center. I still need to trim the fender well plastics and of course a lot of wiring to do.
I will post a follow up once it’s completed. I also have the matching rear bumper on order already.
Thoughts, opinions?

Looks great. I like the fact I can lock mine up from hoodlums.View attachment 9131
Best $55 I’ve spent on Amazon so far. Machined and anodized aluminum and fit great on my 2020 2500 Bighorn. Also got color matched plugs to cover the license plate holes in the front from bumperplugs.com. Happy camper here
Digging the locking caps, I was going to get those but they are on back order. I live out in the sticks so probably not as imperative. Looks great man! Still no idea why they don’t come like that from the factory on a $50k+ truckLooks great. I like the fact I can lock mine up from hoodlums.
Looks very nice! Thank you for posting, I have a white 3500 SRW and have been looking for a non winch bumper. You said removing the factory bumper was a pain, was that due to the mounting design? How was mounting the SteelCraft? What did you do or are you going to do with the plastic inner fender liners that extend below the bumper? This is more of a progress report, I have much left to do. What hitch is that?New hitch
What hitch is that?
Looks like a Weigh Safe
Yep, weigh safe. They mostly make aluminum hitches, but I decided to get the steel one. Thanks, haven't seen one of those before.
The bolts that attach the tow hooks are 18mm with fine threads and they are about 4” long. They are torqued down extremely tight. Getting any kind of leverage from a breaker bar is tight quarters.Looks very nice! Thank you for posting, I have a white 3500 SRW and have been looking for a non winch bumper. They are on sale for $750 + freight at most online vendors. I got mine locally for $640 here in Houston and picked up to avoid shipping charges.. They have a winch model for $1000What did that bumper cost?
The matching rear has two cut-outs for LED pods and tabs for 2 D-rings. My dealer quoted $489. Oh, both front and rear allow you to retain sensors. They are on sale for $750 + freight at most online vendors. I got mine locally for $640 here in Houston and picked up to avoid shipping charges..
