What did you do TO your RAM today?

I keep talking myself out of that light bar kit. Too many other items to do first, CJC ran a Black Friday sale with 20% off Baja Designs. I still didn't go for it! BTW - Their home webpage still shows the 20% discount code.

10% off. Yup it’s still goin. Good deal. If I ever get my truck from FCA I want all the Baja lighting I can get.

Used the oem aux switch? Easy? Or easy peasy? Man I’m tired of dealing with aftermarket switches which is why I ordered my 2500 with the aux switches. Hopefully they will be there when I get the truck. Hah

Yeah, I didn't order mine - bought it off the lot and initially thought "why would I want those switches"? Well, obviously to spend more money to attach something to the switches :)

Anyway, I am now really glad they are there. Makes installation a lot easier. That's a lot of wiring, relays, and frankly routing wires into the cab to then mount to an extra set of switches would have kept me from adding the front and rear lights. Just don't want to cut into a 2020 vehicle that expensive.

Used Aux 1 - Easy peasy

OK, I'm embarrassed to ask this. However... What the hell is the secret to getting the bladed wires to seat in that darned aux plug? I have everything else done but I must be too stupid to see something really simple. Driving me friggin nuts.

Mine just plugged in. However, I have since read where others have the same problem as you, and they have to release a clip. I will look for that recent "how to" post but don't have the time at the moment. Will get back to you.

Have you tried rolling it over? That sometimes helps slip it in.

Yeah, I've tried rotating it quite a bit. I'm assuming the plug on the module itself does not easily come apart? I thought about taking the front (toward the front of the truck) piece off if possible, but am unsure

I would really appreciate it. I've looked everywhere Due to the angle and obstructions, I can't really "look up" into that housing to see what is going on. I guess maybe it's time I invested in one of those camera scopes. I have a really well equipped shop - including a hydraulic lift (that unfortunately can't handle the Cummins) but no scope. That would probably help right now.

That's what I remember reading. They take that front piece off and release a clip in the inside hole

OK, then I guess I need to figure out how to take that front piece off without breaking something.

OK, thanks! I looked closer and the front section of that plug popped right off. Then I could easily see how it went in, however even with that once I had the blades partially in, I had to use needle nose pliers to "pull" the front of the blade in to where it clicked - then all is good.

Also, I had used some dielectric grease on the blade and grommet to help - but even that wasn't enough. But now that I know it 's not big deal. I am, however a little remorseful at the moment that I didn't get the OnX6 light....

Call Baja designs. They may let you exchange for the OnX6

Oh, I get it now.

I just assumed you pulled the front half of the plug off to insert the wire. I don't know that they will go in with it connected together as I never did it that way, always unplugged it first, removed the seal, and inserted the blade.

No problem - I was being a dummy in hindsight. All fixed, done, and buttoned up now.
