What did you do TO your RAM today?

Inquired about the cost of an alignment on my '22 using the Thuren specs - they came back with $564 and 3.5 hours of labor.

Is that high for an alignment? I haven't done one on the dually yet and it just seems higher than what I pay for normal passenger vehicles.

My 2500 has stock suspension with the rear air suspension and it cost $189. I would assume a DRW would cost more but that does seem a bit steep

Had a front end alignment and two new tires put on the front of my 2022 dually last month. The alignment was $140. I gave them a copy of the Thuren specs and they said no problem.

What is different about the Thuren alignment specs?
helps mitigate the outside tire wear on the 1-tons...not sure about the 3/4 tons.

Found a local place that will do it for $190 - much better. I'll talk to my neighbor later tonight who works at a local body shop with an alignment machine to see if they can do it for less or I'll go to the $190 place. I feel like the original response I got has to be a typo...just seems way too high.

It’s free to do it yourself :thumbs up:

No fancy alignment computer machine needed? I'm mechanically inclined but I've never done an alignment on a vehicle before.
If you ever wanted to learn it doesn’t get much easier than a straight axle pickup

You can’t really change the rear and you can’t really change camber, just need to focus on caster and toe up front. Since thuren wants 0° toe that’s super easy.

We did some discussion here and posted pics

Replaced both batteries after truck wouldn’t start in a remote RV park. Luckily I got it jumped off and drove straight to the nearest Walmart and put them in in the parking lot. One battery had leaked but luckily the tray had reservoirs to catch it. Cleaned it out good and poured soda water in it and let it sit a little. Then wiped it out. 2 and a half years on the batteries. RV=ruined vacation.
Did I also mention I had a flat on the trailer?
PS: I also have the P2509 code but no CEL. Will it clear on its own or will I have to do it manually? TIA

Completed the service I started 2 weeks ago lol. Renewed the air filter and the pollen filter was the only things left, done full drive train oils and filters two weeks ago and a decent bolt and nut check over front to back.
What a pain to swap the pollen filter. This filter is one year old and done 40,000km
Also completed the remote breather system I started a few months ago, the only breather that was not done when I originally started was the rear diff breather and I extended it today to join the rest of the breathers under the bonnet.
