What did you do TO your RAM today?

Got my oil change done and changed both fuel filters. My homemade rear filter changer works. Only fuel spilled was what dripped out while swapping the filter out and caught that with a towel on the driveshaft.

Another good idea. I've learned that if I cut the bottom off a 1/2 gallon milk jug I can drop it all straight in with minimal mess.

Just received my fuel caps from Geno's, I can see lot's of purchases in the future the catalog is loaded. I also have to join Turbo Diesel register ,In case you cant tell I'M having fun!!!!!. Hats and shirts to order.
Geno’s is the place to get your filters for sure.

After about 3 years of them not working I finally enabled my turn signals and puddle lights on my aftermarket mirrors.

I used the boost auto tool to enable the sales codes.

Years ago I purchased the AEV pro cal snap to change tire pressure and TPMS and now this tool. I don't own a laptop or computer so I never tried to mess with alpha OBD but that may have been the way to go now looking back.

Install was super easy. Pull the cluster and bypass the security gateway temporarily. Plug in the module and in about 15 seconds you get a honk confirmation.

I did the bypass with the Kaodtech cable and Jscan. Had the dealer install the tow mirrors and could not get them to enable the turn signals or the puddle lights. Did it myself along with the TPMS pressure change and the remote start.
I can not imagine ordering a 3/4 ton truck without tow mirrors or the brake controller but it was sitting on the lot that way.

I couldn’t even get the dealer to sell me the tow mirrors because they will only sell you parts by VIN so of course they wouldn’t enable the sales codes.

The puddle lights excite me more than they should

I tried my hand at setting up one of the AUX switches to run power to an Anderson Powerpole block to feed the dash cam and a couple of radio transceivers. Set it up to utilize the G425 passthrough to AUX 6.

So far the dash cam works and I'm happy about that but I'll be happier when I figure out the coax from the cabin to the fender. Maybe I can utilize one of the grommets in the door.

I found a path. There are a grommet or two in the passenger side door frame. Easy access from the hood down the fender. Two transceivers are working. CB and UHF/VHF. I may swap the CB for a GMRS or just add a GMRS at some point. There was a grommet on the drivers side but it looked like it came through about where the parking brake was.

So I'm on the air! Now I just need to pretty it up.
