Yep, switched everything over before I left the dealership. They said they made no difference in value so I kept them.

Did that on my 1500, 3 years later still look fantastic even after using them..... tbh im just being extremely lazy this time around and dont want to do it when the truck comes in. Now saying it out loud and you telling me, i probably will. Disregard where to find them.

only time ive "washed" them is when my son spilled his milk, juice or a little bit of throw up got on it and i just treated it as a regular seat. Used my small detailing upholstery/carpet washing machine, then vacuum and worked out great. Other than that ive never threw them in the washer or nothing.
When im done with a day on the lake/river ion the boats, everyone sits on a dry towel (after wiping boat down we are pretty dry anyways) and when im done with a day in the sand dunes to go riding it catches the sand well to vacuum up but we shower in the trailer before leaving to use up the water anyway, so they never really get dirty at least for me. just there for "just in case" for the dog and kiddo. Sorry for ranting but cant confirm about a washer machine per say. But the upholstery/carpet washer machine cleaner worked perfectly fine on it when needed the few times i have used it.

My alternator cable was rubbing on this boost connector from the turbo to inter cooler tube. While it hadn't busted through, the area was very worn and felt soft to the touch, like it was about to break through. Dealer said there is a TSB on this. I will look at my receipt and see if it states what it is. Definitely something to look at if you are under the hood for something else.

Did you ever find the TSB # for this issue... I'm dealing with this now and they're telling me it's "normal wear and tear" at 58k miles...

Any chance you have a TSB for that... I'm going back and forth with the dealer now about "normal wear and tear" vs warranty.
 
Did the resonator delete today, definitely did it the hard way, got ahold of the tailpipe from a 2022 6.7 truck. It’s 4” from the hanger back, but 3.5” to the muffler, I did have to cut the expanded end of the 6.7 pipe and use the 45 from the muffler of the 6.4, but now I don’t have the resonator and have a 4” tailpipe!!IMG_3650.jpegIMG_3649.jpegIMG_3651.jpeg

Not difficult at all, depending on your Gen (mine is a 21) some just slide up and off, on mine they actually snap in inside the door into a little "j" channel so to remove you have to stick a trim tool down in between the outer rubber and the first felt flap and gently pry while pulling up to release the hook. There are youtube vids out there that show the different ways for the different Gens.

 
Not today, but a couple of days ago installed a UWS bedside toolbox. I was really impressed with the quality. It's very sturdy and the latch and lock is all very nice. It better be for $433. I'll have to wait another paycheck or two before I get one for the passenger side. The one annoyance was that it came with no mounting hardware. Not a big deal since I had some spare nuts and bolts that would work, but most folks will have to make a trip to the hardware store.

Today I attempted to install a new front winch bumper. I have done this more than a few times and I have learned that the hardest part usually is removing the wiring harness for lights and sensors. I watched a couple of videos to familiarize myself and figured 4 hours would be plenty to remove and install the new bumper with air tools.

I was wrong.

Four hours later, I had the stock bumper off, the heater block plug-in rerouted and secured, and the new bumper mounting plates installed.

Those 24mm galvanized bolts that hold the tow hooks in were installed by someone that was very angry and had a very big torque gun, lol. I couldn't get my regular air impact gun in the tight space, so had to use a 1/2" drive wrench and 24MM socket. Then I had to use a cheater bar, but I didn't have enough clearance due to the plastic air dam, so I had to try and remove it, but you couldn't remove it all the way without removing the bumper. I ended up using my feet to kick the bolts loose.

This is a new truck with zero rust, and I still sprayed everything down with Liquid Wrench beforehand. The instructions for the new bumper said to just remove the 4 bolts holding the bumper onto the bumper bracket, but you can't access those without removing the bumper by unbolting the brackets from the frame.

It was frustrating, but I was impressed by the overall beefiness of the hardware and metal up front.

I might finish it up in the morning before work, or just wait until Saturday. The truck is going to a suspension shop Saturday for a leveling kit.
 
New cheap Amazon winch bumper installed.

Would not recommend. Horrible gap, tortuous install, and need to trim wheel well liners.

When I remove it to put the winch on, I'll see about drilling new holes in the mounting plates so I can reduce the gap.
