What did you do TO your RAM today?

Looks great! Any pics of how its mounted?

I've got the rough draft prototype mount hardware photographed, although I don't have any decent ones of attachment to the undercarriage. Ignore the ugly aluminium brazing, it was a gap filler and cannot be seen from the finished side.

I matched the rear support bar to fasten up snug with the frame rail brackets. Had to drill hardware holes and didnt want to do so into the frame itself. The front brackets are in fitting stages in that pic. I matched them up to the bumper support brackets which hold the OEM valence and then used original machined holes to mount, before cutting the aluminium arms to length.

Nice! Hows the touch registry? I always hated protectors on my phones because of a lack of sensitivity, but often thought this might be a nice protective feature.
It’s really good surprisingly. I don’t notice a difference at all. Just a lot less fingerprints and dust!

Finally had time to get some lighting in the cap:
2 strips of aluminum bar
4 M6-1.0 x 30mm screws to replace the ones at the end of the Yakima track
1 tube of Silicone sealant to squirt down into the screwhole
1 5m White LED Strip Light 2835 SMD from SuperBright LEDs
Some bell wire so I could solder leads onto the 2nd piece and then run the line down the side and tie into the bedlights.
Still have some clean up to do, but good enough for now.

This is the aluminum strip attached to the interior of the cap, the top of the cap is convex but the bar is straight and at least level with the 'hump' that runs along the center of the cap

View from the back, installed and out of the way... wires run along the top of the door frame and down the left side where they are wired into the bed lights.

This is the wire I tapped into, this is looking towards the rear of the truck above bumper

And finally got dark enough to take a picture... seems to be plenty bright.

Great job !

Great job !

Thanks! Hardest part was getting the cargo lights out... thanks to YouTube for always providing an answer! Once you pull the screws, you need to use a really thin screwdriver or wire to collapse the plastic toggle/anchor that holds the light in place...that and my soldering skills suck.

@Kimo7 had posted how they had installed some lights under the rails on his bed... figured it couldn't be that hard to install some lights up higher.

Thanks for the post. This is all on my to get and to do list! I better get good at pan handling or winning the lottery.

The 5 meter roll of LED was the most expensive item at about $32....I think it was all maybe $50?

I posted on other thread but wanted to hit here too. I installed an after market muffler, Magnaflow 19493 direct fit. YouTube video link below. The last part there’s video that demonstrates the sound difference of before and after. I don’t know what I’m doing with YouTube but it turned out ok.

Do most people know what they are doing with YouTube? lol
Not too shabby! So about 1/2 the weight and you kept the stock resonator...
I see on their full kit it appears they have a much lower profile resonator but not finding it.

Thanks for the props. I have a face made for radio so I tried to keep out of the video while at the same time not turning into the talking hand guy that annoys the sh!t out of me when watching vids. I just used it as a means to be able to post the video on here.

I didn’t want to spend the full $1k on the complete system vs $307 for the muffler. If I kept trucks for longer maybe I would but right now this is good. I’ve also spent a bunch of money on the air bags and compressor too so I’m trying to keep it reasonable with the spending. The muffler adds great sound, I’m not convinced I’ll get any additional HP but I dig the rumble it makes. It’s amazing how much weight difference there is. It’s probably offset by adding the air bags and onboard compressor but I’m happy with it so far. I kept the OEM muffler just in case.

I pretty much keep vehicles until they die, swapping out the 1500 for the 2500 was the exception.
But still... $1k for an exhaust... I'd really have to do some deep diving to see if the cost was worth it...

New shoes.

Installed the Thuren 2” Coils and Fox Shocks for Hemis. Having measured the bias I thought it would be pretty darn close to level or have the tiniest amount of rake. Turns out the front is about 1/4” higher. Alignment and new shoes on Fri.538CD01D-7566-4F5B-81E7-98D0957C556C.jpeg07B27F21-CBA6-4C97-B6A5-7E37DF5EC8DA.jpeg
