What did you do TO your RAM today?

Well not what i did to my ram but what the suicidal deer did…. Jumped out of the ditch and in to my truck there was no avoiding it now it needs a front bumper, headlight, front fender, fender liner, running board, drivers door, rear door drivers side, im sure some hidden parts behind the front facia

Pictures do not really capture it, and to make it worse i stopped to load up the deer and a transport took out the hind end so i didnt even get any meat!

Man, that sucks, @H3LZSN1P3R . Maybe you can use some of the insurance money for an aftermarket bumper.

Added the auto high beam mirror, only had auto dimming prior. At first wasn't sensitive enough and would go high beam on vehicles with dim headlights. Took the sensor apart and painted the inside sensor area white, now works like a charm! Thanks to the guru Jimmy07 for info and settings!

Here is a shot showing the sensor lit up by the camera flash.

Well I think I can see why it smoked you so hard….in the background looks like sled tracks…that sucker was on a sled!

The plow would have either helped or been a complete crap storm lol with the side plates on the blade it could have decapitated it that would have been cool

I would have to make my own if i went that route as none of the aftermarket company bumpers accommodate plow mounts which is not in the realm of impossible though…

The speed it was going it must have been lol i went looking last night at the tracks it looks like it was being chased by a wolf or coyote from the second set if tracks that turned off before the highway

Cool…I didn’t realize the auto high beam was able to be added with just a mirror…what’s the part number for the mirror?

The most moving obstacles I have seen on a morning winter commute to our closest town (13 miles) was 14 moose, 30 ish elk and 20+ deer. That was 20 something years ago in a huge drought. It becomes a matter of when and not if. Although I am 52 and haven’t tagged on yet….knocking on every piece of wood in my house. Although I have been close enough to see the ‘’white’s of their eyes more than once’’. Closest I have came is a sideways slide around the neighbours 2200lb bull in the darko_O. Shorts were changed.

This is the route you should go. If you have the fab skills and time/resources. I built a bumper for my 2001 Ram and if I had the tools I'd try to build one for my 2019.

I work in a fab/ custom shop with plasma table and paint booth i have every tool needed the only thing i dont have is time lol, i plan on building one but for now i will get the oem one i can sell it after anyway and my bumper build wont cost anything as i can do it all out of drops (we get some huge drops) so no material cost…. Its on my to do list along with the rear
