What did you do TO your RAM today?

Remote tuning on the street can be a little scary. I normally do my logs on the street as well but recently tried to do some logs and the car was all over the road. Drag radials and cooler temps dont mix very well!! Due to this I have a dyno appointment on Monday so I can finish up my logs.

For the most part I think our truck tunes are considered to be canned, just load and go!
Agreed. I am about to upgrade my fuel system on my Camaro and this time I am going to go for a dyno tune for the above mentioned reasons. That is good to hear we can just get a canned tune for our trucks, I know I wouldn't be trying to wring out every last bit of HP and TQ.
Thank you for the info.

1st oil change, 6 weeks old and 3,563 miles. Went with PUP and Purolator Boss this time around. Going to see how she does on the factory spec, big fan of Redline (my ‘14 1500 loved it) and might make the jump but the truck is pretty quiet for a Hemi (besides the chirping but oil won’t help that). We’ll see what Blackstone says over the first couple of changes.

Anyway, didn’t see it anywhere while scanning thru ALL the oil threads…….but is anyone using the larger oil filter? I ran the bigger RP 20-820 on my 1500 and there is definitely more room on the 2500.

After a LONG pandemic related delay, I finally picked up my slide in. It was ordered before I ordered the truck. They like one another and get along fine!

That’s a great looking set up! What’s the weight in that if you don’t mind me asking?

Dry weight listed at 2,000 lbs. After receiving my truck I took it to the scales and have 3,800 lbs available payload. I just returned home and have not been back to scales yet, but plan on doing so soon.
No modifications done to truck as far as suspension or lift, but no squat noticed when camper was loaded and drives fine. I am getting 5 or 6 miles less per gallon though (as expected).
I notice at 65 - 70 mph, I go back and forth between 7th and 8th gears, with a lot of time in 7 which puts me around 2,200 rpm vs around 1,800 rpm in 8th.
Not being a gear head, I have to ask, is there anything I can do about that ?
I assume it's related to having the 3.73 rear end?

Best thing to do is select 7th manually and let it ride. Other than that you're limited by gearing. Dropping a tire size would help but not sure you want to do that.

Bingo that 3.73 is the issue.

Installed the Air Lift 5000 Ultimate bags on the 2500 today. Almost ready to start pulling the 5th wheels.

Got my deezee bed mat and duraliner tailgate liner installed!
How do you like the tailgate liner? I have the deezee mat too but the dam tailgate is naked! Does it bolt to factory holes?

I have a mat that’s been in my last two rams and I’ll modify it to go into the next. I’ll have to see if there are bed rail and tailgate covers and I like that tailgate protector too.
love the truck and the color. I ordered the same color.
Damn, sorry guys. That truck/color statement was directed to Papa-smurf with that awesome patriot Blue truck.
