Finally!...I gave it a good scrub from our returned camping trip to Cripple Creek (CO) and the countless dirt roads to my favorite fishing holes around my area this mid-summer. I won't even get into the fair number of car shows, I attended, with my "Other" rides that kept me busy. LOL!

Now it's ready for our late summer camping/road trip to Twin Falls (ID), Southern Utah to check out the hoodoos and arches, then back to Colorado to fish another lake (Blue Mesa).



Since I've taken ownership late February I've added:
1.) Line "X" UV protected bed liner (which is counterintuitive by adding #2 on this list).
2.) A bed cover by Line "X".
3.) Amp Research Steps.
4.) A B&W fifth wheel hitch and, of course a fifth wheel to go with it.
5.) Black pinstriping (Which is coming off and being replaced).
5.) A pull hitch cover.
6.) A set of (pesky) deer whistles - LOL.
7.) A Bug/stone deflector (the latest).

Winter projects will find me adding:
1.) A Innercooler guard.
2.) A set of driving lights to replace the blanks in the front bumper (if there is a decent set out there?).
3.) A locking gas and def cap.
4.) A decent rag to cover the dash.
5.) A "Loud" horn for those distractedly challenged "Big City" drivers!

I thought about replacing the Firestones, but decided I needed one winter of snowy thrills. Could be fun!

Install wasn't bad. If you've never done any vinyl graphics installs, take a minute to YouTube "wet app vinyl install"

They use an Avery brand vinyl with the air release channels that are really good for wet apply methods. The wet method let's you position things properly before it truly sticks.

Hardest part was removing the rubber window channel trim, and the screw that holds the lower exterior trim of the window. The vinyl actually trucks behind that lower trim. Be careful when pulling it away from the door so as not to kink it.

No write up that I know of. It's easy to remove, just pull. It makes a lot of sense once you start the project.

I used to own a sign and vinyl business in the past is the only reason I know what I know.

The black rubber channel that the window rides in is the one that needs moved as the vinyl actually wraps in behind it. It's a bit hard to grab a hold of, but removes from the door easily. Again, it doesn't need to come the whole way out. Just pull it out of the door far enough to access the b pillar portion of the door. As for the screw, you'll see that plain as day once you look at the area you are working on. By the way, try not to drop the screw. Pesky little ***** are a pain to find on the ground. Lol

Changed the fuel filters yesterday, washed and waxed. Anybody got any good tips on filter changing to prevent a mess and diesel bath? I was a human wick! Would burn for six months! Opened petcock but still got a mess!
