BTW, the rear taillight fasteners are also a joke. The harness makes the realignment of the light a pain and I sheared both fasteners off..

Missing aft??Rumor is you pull aft, not outward. Don’t ask how I know.

Missing aft??
Come out fine, realignment to reinstall was my problem.
Cheers
My harness plug on the light rubs the opening in the body, making reinstall alignment funky. Found 2 new fasteners at the dealer, then bought a 20 pack of Chinese fasteners on Azon.Interesting, realignment was easy. It was removal that messed me up. I assumed the clips came out with the lights, and they don’t.
I’ve removed my taillights a couple times for undercoating, I found the easiest way to re-install was to remove the clips out of the body and put them back on the taillights, no issues trying to get them lined up.My harness plug on the light rubs the opening in the body, making reinstall alignment funky. You forgot they fall on you and then burn you. It's a dark, rainy day so I installed a fancy shift lever. Let me also say I hate drop lights. They only point two directions - away from the work area or in your face.

Installed Vice designs slim reverse light kit today. Wanna say thanks to this forum as I got a link to diagrams for the up-fitter switches as well perfect instructions on how to wire to the switches. It was “easy” but took a longer time than I expected because I dont rush things like this. I test fit then adjusted and readjusted everything a few times. Everything fit nicely. Only issue was that they dont account for the folding bedstep in their bracket design. You have to loosen the mounting bolts, fit one of the brackets slightly different from the directions and then reinstall the bolts. Once the mounting system was installed it was plug and play for activation when putting the truck in reverse. Vice designs premade wiring harnesses are awesome. The wheel well liners made it difficult to run the wires to the up-fitter plugs but after some trial and error I was able to route the wire in a way that would keep it from heat sources and moving parts. I tapped aux 2, as Aux 1 is reserved for the next project (cjc offroad tradesman foglight kit with baja designs squadron pro lights in selective yellow, aka “amber” )
These rear floods are gonna be great for setting up camp in the dark. They provide an immense amount of light and a super clear view when backing up.
Tailgaters at night?… I hope they have sunglasses! Tomorrow, I will add clear pics of the bracket and lights during the day. Night time photos are below…

And the cords trip you or act as near-perfect chocks for your creeper wheels. You forgot they fall on you and then burn you.
