Hey guys I’ve been looking for something to keep my MDs disabled it just feels like it runs so much smoother with increased throttle response right now I just deactivate it by changing the gear limiter to max gears but is anyone else doing something more effective, I know there the range mds disabler and some tuning options out there, is this a big deal for anyone else?

I use tow haul quite a bit. I like the holding of the gears and not being so luggy.

Yessir, I seen they have a MDs disabler that you can leave connected to the obd port from what I understand only disables the MDs but the part is about $300 I just wanted to see if anyone had any opinion on it, yea I’ll probably just be using the gear limiter the rest of my life as it’s not worth it lol unless I hear different.

I dunno about turning it off forever. I let the MDS work every now and then I have no scientific evidence but I feel like it should operate now and then so it won’t fail.

I also have a '21 with about 80,000 miles on it. I used to turn MDS off every drive with the gear limiter, but after a bunch of research I no longer do so. Apparently the MDS lifters get the most oil during MDS. Reignited on youtube has several good videos of it, I would send links to the videos but I'm at work and the firewall wont let me :(

Getty's Garage on YouTube has also addressed this issue and say we should allow this to work as we could create another potential issue if we did not.
