Disconnected wire for grid heater relay and now I’m getting a water in fuel warning light, is this normal ?

You're doing it wrong
Thats not normal i would drain the water separator as the 2 systems are not connected

Is it possible I disconnected wrong wire ? It only comes on when starting engine and not each time

You're doing it wrong
No, drain the water separator and see if it goes away. Lots of people disconnect the grid heater i have never heard of anyone getting the WIF light from it so it has to be coincidence
