Waiting for the transport truck!

There is absolutely nothing your dealer can do if it is in a rail yard. Lots of brands get shipped to the respective yards, then they are sorted and lined up for delivery. We are at the mercy of the rail lines, haulers and the folks in between. Mine stayed in the Petersburg lot for over a month. I remember driving past that place several times over the years and was amazed at the sheer number of vehicles they deal with. Hope y'all get your trucks soon though!

Now the dealer is telling me that the keys are shipped separately from the vehicles to prevent theft and that they are waiting on the keys to arrive??

Dealer says that they are transported in "SHIP Mode" which allows them to be started and driven, but cant go over 1500 RPM.
I think he's feeding you a line of poo. Key fobs come with the trucks. They may come in ship mode, but fobs are needed.

I think it is all by magic...I wonder if FCA and the rail companies have a handle on what is actually done? Perhaps the lack of insight/details is on purpose. By keeping everyone in the dark, security is supposed to be enhanced so the bad guys have a harder time stealing? Too bad we can't have transporters from Star Trek.

I've heard of "Ship Mode" but didn't know exactly what that meant ....
