Morning ya'll!
I could really use ya'lls guidance here cause I'm out of reasons at this point.
2020 2500 RAM Big Horn 6.4L

My husband and I took our truck in to the local dealership to get the fuel filter changed, new tires and an alignment on 8/3.

Took the dealership 6 hrs, with an appointment. Once we drove off the lot, the vibration in the truck and steering was horrible. Not safe to drive at all. Our truck didn't vibraite not one bit when we dropped it off. Dealership ask to keep the truck until Monday to get a second set of tires as the first set had flat spots.

Three sets of tires, 2 alignments, and 3 weeks later, our truck still vibrates. In the truck, seat and steering wheel.
After three sets of tires they said two wheels were bent. Dealership put the bent wheels in the back, what would cause the whole truck and the steering vibrate after a new set of tires, 3 new sets and 2 alignments?

The truck didn't vibrate when we pulled into their bay and our wheels were absolutely not bent. I have 1000 more questions about the dealership but I won't ask that here.

I'm open to what and where to look for a solution as the dealership said to take it somewhere else.

Did you guys put it in neutral while in motion to disengage the the transmission? May help narrow down where the vibration is coming from. Also, at what speed did you notice the vibration and is there any driving situation where you don’t notice the vibration?

Edit: I don’t have the dial shifter knob, not real sure if putting it in neutral while in motion with that is even possible.

When I test drive it today, I'll try putting in neutral in an open parking lot and see how the vibration reacts! Great idea!
The vibration is evident even at lower speeds. I noticed it more innthe stearing as soon as I pulled out of the dealership. The faster the worse it gets in the seat and the truck.
I have an apointment with the district manager today and he is going take the tires and wheels off and let us see where the wheels are bent and I'm also going to see if the weights are distributed properly.

Ya'll. I'm really open to all suggestions!
I just want my truck back!

Update
We brought out girl home and are taking her to a wheel and tire shop to help us understand what may have happened.
We also have a case number with Ram thanks to @RamCares
We will have to replace all 4 wheels at this point. We just do not understand how it happened.
I greatly appreciate all the suggestions and support. Thank you all!

This is mind boggling. How do you take a perfectly good truck to a shop (dealership no less!!!!) for tires and fuel filters…..and come away with 4 bent rims and a huge headache?!!! I’d be camping in their lot until they gave me a truck that didn’t shake and shimmy.

" new tires and an alignment"

Is it possible there's some front end component wear? Depending on use, it's possible and new tires and an alignment could very well surface a masked issue.

RE: wheel/tire swap from anther vehicle. "They said they did that and it was the same "

How on God's green earth can they say your wheels are bent when a set of swapped wheel exhibits the same symptoms. That's ludicrous and without any logic and reasoning.

What sort of wear pattern was on the old tires?

If the dealer isn't willing, take it to an independent alignment shop and tell them to "align to Thuren Specs." They might also be better prepared than the dealer to determine if there's worn components. Track bar and tie rod ends are to be considered most suspect. Ball joints on a Cummins truck.

Believe me, I wanted to but I also didn't want to be arrested cause I know I could not have been civil if I had to look at the district manager another second!!!
We have a pretty good idea what happened however we are waiting on Ram to reach out.
RamCares has created a ticket for us and we will see where all this goes from here.

See this is what I found so odd, we ask to see the old set they took off but the Forman said they had already disposed of the old tires. No print out of the alignment to even confirm they did one. But we paid for it.
This past weekend the dealership allowed us to see the truck on the lift without the wheels so we could check for any wear on the roters or bounce in the axels.
They were just fine, thankfully! At 48k miles, I would hope they would still be good.
we have a good idea what happened and will address with Ram.
It just blows my mind.
How many other customers have they done this to? All about that $$$$ so it seems

Did you end up taking it to a tire shop? I can almost bet you have defective tires or the dealer didn’t do a good job balancing the tires. A good tire store or repair shop with a road force balancer can check the tires and wheels.

In my younger years I was a mechanic at a well know frame and alignment shop in SE MI. A couple times I came across clutch fans and one water pump (on a euro sports car) causing severe vibration throughout the vehicle.
Also bought a new 1992 F150 that would vibrate severely intermittently. At that time I was writing service manuals for Ford. One day a TSB came across my desk. This TSB was alerting technicians about clutch fans causing sever vibrations on 302/351 F-series and to replace it with updated part. I took it to the dealer and they lightly argued with me that there was no way a clutch fan would cause a severe vibration until I showed them the Ford TSB.
