I believe the interior of the 1500s are updated. I do a 2021 part number comparison on one of the online oem reseller sites to see if the part numbers matched up before purchasing. So two questions. Does the upper glove box from a 2021 1500 fit a 2021 2500? Has anyone done this?
Yes I did that. The numbers are different. But I looked at pictures of both and can't really see any difference. So the local junkyard will take it back if it doesn't fit.I believe the interior of the 1500s are updated. Yes, you break the CANBUS connection from the gateway to the radio module. I can build a jumper plug to take care of that. Can’t find any posts that confirm unplugging that screen will break anything… so… we shall see I guess on both counts…
Got it, so without the jumper the radio won’t work? Like the screen is like a three way light switch between the brain and the main display?Yes, you break the CANBUS connection from the gateway to the radio module. I can build a jumper plug to take care of that.
The only thing you’ll have is a hidden fault in the BCM because the screen switch is disconnected, but it won’t affect anything.
