1st thing 1st, this is probably more applicable to Canadians that Americans, will explain now.
As prices on the used vehicles (trucks in particular) went up and most of the sold trucks are making their way South of the border, there's a shortage on the used car market (hence the higher prices).
I've seen quite a few mentions (Facebook and other forums) from Canadians that they upgraded their 19 and 20 MY trucks to 21 MY. Main reason being the return to CP3 in 21 MY, but they also saying that they got real good offers on their older trucks so they upgraded to newer.
The question I have, how much of a good deal did you get on your 19-20? How much upside down were you in your trade in?
Was it worth it? Maybe, but there are folks who change their trucks every few years regardless. Dumping a truck because of potential CP4 failure seems like a waste of money as there are now aftermarket options that aren't that expensive.
Upgrading to a newer truck sounds like a sweet option and an easy way out of potential CP4 issues, but being upside down on a trade in by $10-20k is a nah for me especially considering I've only got 10k kms on it. So would really like to hear from those who made that move.
