I was under my new 2022 Ram 2500 Laramie and I noticed 2 plugs on both the drivers and passengers sides that look to be capped off. They are bent back and ziptied to the frame. I've searched for a while and can't figure out what they are for. Most of found while searching were some guesses of power boards or bed lamps.
Anyone have a clue as to what they are.
I've been a GM owner for the last 25 years and I'm really impressed with this Ram. Wanted something bigger to pull my camper, the chevy gave me lots if issues so I made the swap to Ram. Here's a few pictures.

It might be obvious to you because you took the pics, but no one else is likely to recognize where on the truck those are located.

You gotta pull back on those shots for some context...

Most likely for an option not ordered

the wire colors don’t match up with my 2019 PW but a three pin and a two pin in those locations go to the harmonic dampening whatzits bolted to the frame on each side…if I’m figuring your wire’s location correctly

Good point, my bad. I forgot to add they were right behind the front body mount, just behind the ground on the frame. Here's another picture from of the drivers side a little farther back. Thanks.

I did another search titled balancer bolted to the frame as Poolmonkey suggested.
I found a post about the Active Tuned Mass Modular, one photo shows two connectors.
I think we're onto something here.

They are for the active vibration cancellation sensors.

Originally intended to be on all 6.4 Hemis to work in conjunction with MDS. Parts shortages might have eliminated it on some trims in recent years.

If you go to ram upfitters guide it shows all spare wires

Jimmy can you explain a little. What are the active vibration cancellation sensors associated with... specific options, trim levels?

….they conflict with AMP step installation, at least they did on mine. When I removed those steps I put the vibrating cans back where they were supposed to be and as intended. The MDS was loud as heck, is ok now..I think it was the improperly mounted actuators making most of it or at least cancelling none.

What I glean from reading this, obviously from a cynical point of view, is this: When active, MDS causes so much vibration - due to half the cylinders not firing - that not only would most folks find intolerable, but would also cause internal engine vibration-induced damage. Therefore the solution is to mask/dampen those unfriendly vibrations by creating anti-vibrations. Does this imply that without AVC MDS would/could cause engine damage? It seems to this civilian that running a V8 with half the cylinders not firing would normally be detrimental to engine health.

The things are bolted to the frame, have no effect on the motor and yes….it’s supposed to make vibration and resonance felt in the cab reduced, more tolerable. Now that they are working properly I hardly notice the MDS.
But, they were bolted by two bolts and only on one end. Their vibration may have been making it worse that way, I think.
