Uconnect update

Had the RAM mobile service tech out the other day to handle a couple of the recalls that were just computer stuff. He also had the latest TSB for the radio and installed it for me. I’ll have to wait a week or so and see if it quits dropping the presets,etc. He said if the problem persists they will escalate and have to order a new radio.

Can you share information on the radio TSB?

Wish I could tell you more. All the service tech said was that he had the latest update for the radio, plugged in a flash drive and went thru the motions. I won’t know if it worked til next time I drive the truck as it’s not my daily driver

Sarah, thanks for providing the above information. Do you have detailed information on what the software update addresses and more importantly a release date? I have experienced issues with UConnect since day 1 and I was told the OTA software update in March would correct my issues. My truck has the OTA update and it did not fix my presets and themes dropping off and I really would like to have this problem fixed. Yes, its a small issue but when you have to manually search for stations and scroll though the menus to enter your desired them it gets old. Patiently waiting for a corrective action on this.............................

I had my presets clear but one day it was the fm stations, so I reset them. The next day the xm stations cleared. Annoying to say the least.

Talked to Uconnect this week (August 24 2022), new update will be out around October 1. If you been getting warning not to download, that will be gone and supposed to be good to go.

Why does nobody at Uconnect or Sirius Guardian seem to know about the software conflicts or if it is fixed yet been a year?
Has anyone had their nav up dates done on the 12"

I just picked up my truck from the dealership this morning for a recall and the Uconnect 5 radio. The radio upper status bar would disappear daily. They’re contacting Star for further diag. ‍
Truck will be 1 yr old this coming Sunday.

its been 4 days since i picked up my truck from the dealership and the radio so far been behaving and doing what its suppose to do. No issues with the status bar icons disappearing yet.
Not sure if there was any software update done but all my settings was back to factory default and anything stored was deleted after i picked it up. Currently slowly day by day adding my settings and presets back in to see if theres any change the next day

I have driven my truck 4-5 times over the last couple of weeks and my theme has not reset. I need to go out there and program a couple of presets and see if they hold. Fingers crossed...
