I've had my '22 2500 Laramie for about 20 months. The first year the 12 in u-connect was fine. Then I got a recall from the dealer for a radio upgrade, Since that time, I have had nothing but trouble with the radio and u-connect system. 1. constant reboots, 2. backup camera freezes, 3. loss of vehicle functions on the top and bottom of the radio after reboot, 4. radio bouncing up and down after reboot, 6. inability to turn off heated seats or steering wheel because controls are gone. I am making my fourth trip to the dealer this morning. The first three trips were as long as 4 hours as they investigated. Ram techs seem to have no idea what the problem is.

Update: On the fourth trip, dealer changed the "shark fin" due to high resistance with no change, Dealer ordered a new radio and it is being installed tomorrow. Will advise the results.

Good luck and keep us updated. I myself have a new unit on order due to wireless connection issues and the popular trailer pages not working properly. My concern is the new unit causing more issues than it fixes. My confidence level in the UConnect is extremely low.

New radio installed on 2/3/25. As of now, everything seems to be working normally (even though I had to pay a 15 dollar fee to activate the new radio on my account). Since the problems were intermittent, I will keep this thread open and watch the radio for a while.

Well, it's been a full week, and we just took a 500 mile trip with the new radio and EVERYTHING in the u-connect system worked flawlessly. Looks like changing the radio did the trick!

Thats awesome! I hope it stays that way.

I'm still waiting on my new radio but its only been a couple weeks. I'm not sure how long it takes for a new one to come in. Maybe I'll give them a call this week to check in.

Thank you for your updates!

Well, it's been a week since I've had my new unit installed. knock on wood, so far so good. I don't drive the truck too much as I work remote and I'm home most of the time.

I was a little surprised by how quickly they opted to replace the radio unit. I've read that some folks have been getting push back from the dealerships on a full replacement. Maybe the issue is becoming more prominent?

My tow pages has also been working every time I think to check it so far. Prior to the replacement, it only worked a few times to show the gauges active. I have yet to test the "light check" feature as I haven't hooked up my trailer yet.

The only negative experience is they had the part in stock for a month before I finally reached out to them. Then they wanted to rush me in for an appointment threatening to send it back since it was sitting too long. All worked out in the end, so far anyway.
