This code keeps recurring on my 2020 2500 w/48k miles. Dealer keeps clearing the code and scratching their heads. They say "maybe" a crack in a hose.
Anyone run into this issue? Performance dosen't seem to be degraded....any help will be appreciated.

Thanks
Ray

Do you know what code it actually is setting?

No Sir, saw the code written out on the screen, didn't catch the number.

If it was the PO299 there have been computer updates for that. It is a under-boost related code. Any idea if your work orders state they have reflashed the truck to the latest software version?

Two common things to check are 1 - The airfilter that you're running, these trucks are super sensitive and there are quite a few threads about which OE/Fleetguard air-filter is correct in the stock box, 2 - Some trucks have rubbed a hole in one the CAC/Boost Tube couplers due to the routing of some of the wiring.

The airfilter is easy to check/fix and if it has rubbed a hole in the boost tube coupler the dealer should replace it under warranty. If it has rubbed a hole in the boost tube then I would make sure you impress upon the dealer to zip tie/clean up any wire routing to prevent it from re-occurring.

Thanks Joshua, I don't recall the air filter I installed, but will check.
Is there a filter that is recommended....Fleetguard or?
Will check on CAC/Boost tube couplers.
Thanks

This thread has the current "best" P/Ns from what I've gathered. Not running the stock airbox on my truck, but know a few guys who have had the same issue running certain filters.

Actually going to have installed the Banks system early next year.
Thanks for the info.

I would be leery of the Banks CAI unless they've finally released a fix for the EGR codes it likes to throw. Mine is sitting in the garage and I installed the S&B intake which has better MAF sensor placement to avoid throwing the EGR codes. While not everyone experiences them, both of our '22 SO's throw EGR codes with the Banks CAI on them.

Do you know if there is a TSB for the routing of that wiring that wears a hole in the boost tube coupler? I've got that case right now and the dealer is calling it "normal wear and tear" at 58K miles.

“Normal”. Gotta love it.
