Truck shopping; '24 or wait for '25

maybe a touch off topic. Does anyone know if the 3500 drw's come with Tire pressure monitoring ? specifically the 3500 cab and chassis. I assume they do as i believe they were a standard thing. I know that the 45/5500s dont.
My '24 owners manual says all 3500 series come with a TPIS system.....its a little different as it gives you the pressures for each tire, but I don't believe there is any alarm. Appears to be informational only.

Thanks! I thought so. It will be a nice feature to have again

I'm in the same spot right now:

Either a 2024 2500 big horn cummins $77k msrp for $56k.

Or a 2025 2500 cummins $76k MSRP -- same build -- for published discounts here -- $68k.

Choices.

Doesn't seem much of a choice. I'd jump on that $21k discount without another thought.

That's kind of my choice too but from the 3/4 ton perspective the motor upgrade is very significant. Like 200 foot pound of torque or something.

But you're right it's probably still not worth it

well finally got the 24 limited home and deck installed. I have to say i am quite happy with this 24. Subtle changes between the my 22 and the 24. I really like the new mirrors and all digital cluster as well as its features. It may be there... but i have yet to find the TPMS display so maybe this 3500 dosent have it? not too sure, would be weird for a limited 3500 not to have it?. Black headliner is also a subtle but nice change and it seems quieter than my 2022. Biggest take aways so far is the increased fuel economy and the better ride. So i certainly feel like i made the right decision.

the only thing i am looking into now, is potentially airbags or timbrens, not sure which. After putting the deck and welder/tools on the truck its sagged a bit more than i wanted and only have about 3/4" between the tires and fenders so getting a bit of rubbing. It was made for my 5500 so maybe thats where my measurements are are bit off as the frame is slightly taller on the 5500. I sort of like the set it and forget it aspect of the timbrens but i have never ran them before. Essentially just looking to get back to a stock ride height which will provide me ample room from tire to fender distance.

Looks like there are some deals on 24 2500's with diesel as dealers clear lots for 2025 inventory. OTH the 25's with the improvements to the cummins and new ZF 8spd transmission look really good too. Thoughts on what to do?
Wait for 2025!!! There are two engine options now, in 2500 and 3500's. 6.4 Hemi, or the 6.7 HO with a new Torque flight 8 speed I believe? Also they changed the block back to cast iron from the CGI blocks as some engines were grenading themselves and adding inspection ports in the side of the block. So, that is a good thing... So much for 25% lighter and 50% stronger... LOL... Order up a 2025. You should have no real issues aside from they are introducing the new Torqueflight tranny. I wish they would go with the 10 speed Allison, but GM won't sell them to Stellantis... Good luck

I ended up with a 2024 in my driveway. The identical 2024 was $55,200 vs $68,000 for the same 2025. I couldn't pass up $22k off MSRP.

While I would have liked the NVH reduction of the 2025, the numbers did not make sense. I suspect they'll be ample opportunity to upgrade in 2027 when the new cab comes around, and potentially, 7.2l.

I’ve been waiting for RAM to make a transmission change from the 6 speed so I’ll go 2025 if I can find one I like.
