I want to install a set of Hornblaster train horns on my 2500. My truck isn't on a diet, so there really isn't a lot of room under there for the mounting. I have thought about doing the spare tire delete and installing it there, but wanted to see if anyone else had any clever locations that they have mounted their horns that might not require the tire delete.

This will just be for the horns, the compressor will be mounted in the bed under the box for my retractable tonneau cover.

Kleinn Train Horns has kits that attach to the frame on both sides. You can look at the install instructions on their site to get an idea of what's entailed. They also have a spare tire kit.

If you want to build your own kit, I have the brackets and tank from Kleinn. I bought the kit and then realized that my AEV lift kit used some of the holes their kit went in. So I had to order the spare tire bracket and different tank to fit my truck. Message me if you want a great deal on the bracket and tank.

Do the Kleinn brackets work if you have the in floor storage boxes? I looked at those brackets but it seemed like my in floor storage sat right where the brackets go.

To each their own I suppose, but I quit thinking black smoke & train horns were cool sometime around my junior year of high school.

Maybe I’m just boring and old now.
I think train horns are yet another tool to use against people that might want to impede my path while they’re protesting some boogey man. In my case, I don’t have the horns…..yet, so they get the ranch hand up close and personal.

I'm 45 and there are way more idiots on the road now than when I was in high school. Idiots deserve to be blasted with train horns. People already hate the bright LED's on these trucks so might as well make them deaf while they are going blind, LOL!

I actually more care about the compressor and having it permanently mounted. Would allow me to stop carrying around the portable one.

Regarding the horns, I've had enough people not paying attention to the road that needed to be alerted while I'm towing my camper that it would be nice to have something louder and a bit more aggressive than the standard horn. I'm with you on the no black smoke, etc.

If someone impedes me from traveling on a public road, I’m not warning them with a toot of the horn.

I'm with you on the black smoke, I never thought that was cool.

I just like having something louder than my regular horn for when people are idiots on the road.
